  • unless it’s with me

OK, proceeds to share your nudes with yourself (I am in your walls).

  • Well, fuck it, now it doesn't.

    Just do a little...

and you'll be good to go.

  • I use my brain.

It generates the biggest nonsense out of all.

  • Safari was also late to implement AV1 video support. Based on caniuse website, only MS Edge was later, though you could install an extension to get it running.

Oh, and when I say "support", I mean you'd have to buy a new device.

Supported only on devices with hardware decoder, e.g. iPhone 15 Pro, M3 MacBook Pro, etc.

Edit: Chrome since v. 70 (2018-10-16), Firefox fully since v. 67 (2019-05-21), Firefox partially since v. 55 (2017-08-08) whatever "Not supported by default, but can be enabled" means, Safari since v. 17 on newer devices (2023-09-26)

  • Once Upon a Time, This Tech Company Actively Recruited Furries (Vice.com)

Months earlier, recruiter Cindy Lee Smith noticed a trend in the resumes coming across her desk at Taos. Why were many job candidates listing “anthropomorphism” under their hobbies?

As Christine Hyung-Oak Lee tells it—recalling her time as a junior recruiter under Smith—hitting upon the tech-talent goldmine of furrydom was something like an epiphany. “I remember her running out of her office into my cubicle, and she said, ‘Christine, we gotta get on these furries.’”

And this was way back in 1996.

  • The URL should be in post URL instead of the image, preferably in English too, or marked as being in German.

  • Make sure to use a WDS bridge if supported, rather than some workaround DD-WRT offers, or putting everything behind yet another NAT and separate network.

  • And you can most likely still create a VAP on it to act as WiFi extender.

I've used one as a VPN client this way. Connect to WiFi network, connect to Mullvad using Wireguard, create virtual access point and it semi-practically worked.
Semi, the WRT160NL couldn't really handle it. Especially after adding a separate guest network with another VAP. Crashing like every 3 minutes. It can realistically only act as either a WiFi client or single AP.

But that is device-dependent. This is an old trash.

  • Nah, fuck that. Buys e-ink monitor

  • You can always delete it later to free up space

You underestimate my laziness. I'll just rsync to a bigger and bigger drive each time.

For example, my phone's SD card currently stores some 12,754 files totalling 244.5GB. I really want a 1TB card. Storage is magic. The files always adjust to the media size.

I just always rsync everything over to a new card. And also copy the partition UUID because I don't remember which apps use it, plus I likely have a bunch of symlinks in Termux that would break. Oh, yes, Termux I copy over in the same manner of course.
I mean, I probably pointed them to ~/storage/card symlink, but I am not sure.

I did have to delete a bunch of stuff already though, DVD ISO files and baseband satellite signal recordings to replace them with Wikipedia and other zim files.
Preferably, I'd have all files on every device. That's the dream.

  • I am pretty sure they experienced some KDE Ingenuity.

    Example:

You can see they can't be real files due to their total size:

Unfortunately, at least on Arch it seems a bit broken. The CD keeps spinning at low speed with audible random searches and the file transfer speed is abysmal. Copying out one 3.5MiB MP3 took it almost 2 minutes.

  • Yup, that's done by AudioCD Kioslave.

  • In 2020, Visa, Mastercard and Discover blocked customers from using their cards to make purchases on Pornhub, another big adults-only platform, after a public outcry over alleged child sexual abuse material and other illegal content. This stopped card payments for Pornhub’s paid content and forced it to rely more on ads and sales of user data.

Yep. The idea was to completely block payments to entire OnlyFans it seems.

  • Bluetooth has fairly low bitrate which also helps save power. The throughput will also vary with signal quality. It needs to somehow adjust to worse conditions, otherwise it will just keep cutting out. Streaming CD quality FLAC could probably be done over Bluetooth 5 2M PHY, but 2Mbps is just the physical layer. There's also some overhead. Perhaps just enough would be left, but the bitrate will also vary with the content. Not everything can be compressed much, while some audio can be compressed quite a bit.

Probably would work, but the reliability is also a question.

Anyway, just guessing. Perhaps the 3Mbps EDR could be used just fine.

Oh, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS could do 24Mbps. Sort of. It used WiFi to do that.

  • Seriously, nothing bad about getting other opinions. Internet is just people. Well, not anymore (AI), but it probably doesn't apply to Lemmy much.

  • Best I can do:

  • Many low-end and mid-range chipsets can't even play 4K video. At one point Qualcomm even dropped 4K support on 600 series even though past ones had it.

I've got one like that. Tops out at 2K so I can't view videos from my older phone without either downscaling them or re-encoding them into something efficient enough to use SW decoder in VLC.
