How does DD-WRT fare? I've been using that, but I only have old routers. I mean, old. But I only have mobile data, so they're mostly for playing around. Except for the one which supports Wireguard in DD-WRT. That's very useful as a client. Unfortunately, it's also the least stable one, rebooting every few minutes and eventually ending up in a bootloop after 1 to 2 hours.
I've got I think 8 routers now, 6 of them have Wi-Fi, 1 has 802.11n (the unstable one), the rest peaks with 802.11g.
Anyway, if you have directory-based music organization, Navidrome won't take that, sadly. However, it will take m3u playlists.
So I can just ls playlistdir/* > Playlist.m3u and get that directory as a playlist. Simple, lazy solution.
Oh, you can also add internet radios to Navidrome.
And one cool trick, which is also pretty good to test out Navidrome without effort, in Termux it is already in the repos, so you can just effort-free apt install navidrome, run it and play around.

As for playful way, well... I am a monster. Some offline device with downloaded manuals (including Arch wiki), explanations of key parts of Linux and some basic networking, computer without OS, Arch Linux installer USB, and network connection possibly without DHCP server (with known network info).

As for the fandom, I am not sure you got it right, since you mentioned "kinks", "consent" and "porn". It isn't a sexual thing. Or rather about as much as you make it. Same as cosplay. But yeah, it's still a thing in both.
Partly why Manokits and Dutch Angel Dragons are my favorite species. They're both strictly SFW, especially Dutchies.
In short, both species have no sexual organs, but Manokits may have nippleless breasts purely for sexual dimorphism. Dutchies are more strict and straight up don't even have genders, by default being refered to by they/them, but other pronouns are allowed.
As for how strict the community is, about this strict:
