  • Same.

While i believe they would have the resources to do this technically, i think voter suppression from the right, the failures in the biden/harris whitehouse, and plane old racism/misogyny is a rather solid argument.

The lack of leaks from these absolute colanders is really hard to believe.

  • Technically he's always been independent but primaried for office under a democratic ticket.

So fair? The dems still use him in this way and he is a close enough ally to be synonymous. Unless there's more recent news?

  • Would it matter which?

The DNC insiders clearly have no intention of letting the public have a voice in the party. Having a couple socialists around is supposed to secure the vote from the left. Neither Sanders nor AOC(nor other progressives) are leaving the party anytime soon.

It's fair to argue that splitting the party means losing to the right but the current strategy doesn't seem to be working out either.

  • If you're in severe pain oxy doesn't really get you high. At least not more than adrenaline. Just kills the pain and otherwise makes you feel fine.

IV dilaudid was the good stuff. I'm glad it was only during my hospital stay though. They sent me home with tons of oxy. Took it as prescribed a couple weeks before deciding I'd rather be able to have a beer and a functional colon.

I do get why people get addicted to the stuff though. Kills emotional pain right along with the physical.

  • People who are consenting and terminal are as close to ethical human test subjects as you could possibly get. The only ethical question here is whether it's acceptable when someone is not profiting from it, and who's pride gets hurt.

  • Sorry, i meant in the classical form of bernoulli's equation it's been a while. It's common for people to suggest the wing is half a venturi, then try to apply 1DOF algebraic equations which don't work here.

  • Im mainly angry at ACA for the exact reasons you present here. Many benefited from it but the people i spent the most time around people who still couldn't access care. Healthcare must be universally free to be meaningful.

That said it did benefit people. Just not what it needed to be.

  • Oh yeah the way they did bernie dirty destroyed enthusiasm and that echos even today. The dems showed they don't care for a populist movement.

Im not saying give up. Just be real and listen to what trump and the right is saying. They don't shroud their intent anymore. They say it up front. Dictator day one.

We won't see a restoring change come from a political party. Whether the goal is pushing the current political structures left or superceding them it must come from popular mobilization.

  • ACA wasn't even a bandaid. It only helped the middle class by reducing and capping costs and removing preexisting condition clauses. The poors still couldn't afford it, and were punished for that either by having to pay for the still expensive insurance or being fined at tax time. It's not an insignificant reason we got trump in the first place.

  • There either won't be a 2028 election or it will be a sham. They have control of the entire government. The constitution will change. The courts will be harder right. The ONLY things holding them back will be a senator or two philibustering (until it's outlawed) and the senses of high military command.

Also since trump will have ultimate immunity in office he can simply ignore the constitution altogether without consequence. He won't have to step down. As admitted he'll be a dictator.
