  • No majority though, the Greens will have a lot of power. Which is a good thing.

  • One small change I made maybe six months ago was switching my car radio to ABC Classic FM. Every time I'm in the car I get gentle classical music. No ads, no scary news, the presenters aren't annoying. I sometimes put it on at home now too for small moments of calm.

  • Oh they needed to be squashed like this. But while they sort themselves out or we wait for a new party to emerge (and it's unlikely that one will that's big enough to be taken seriously), there's nobody to properly hold the government to account. That's not good for Australia.

  • We'll miss Antony Green. What a legend.

I guess Casey Briggs got a test run during Covid when people were calling him "the Antony Green of death", and he'll be good, but it won't be the same.

  • It's almost mean to subject them to the Sarah Ferguson/ Laura Tingle double act. But it's very entertaining. And a reminder that good journalism is important to hold these self-important wankers to account.

  • Mine's probably 25 years old and the slats don't stay in place well, my next bed will have a better set up I think.

Dark stained wood with no foot sounds like a winner.

  • Majority government is good, they might actually get some shit done. The LNP will be very weak, like in Vic, which isn't actually great for democracy going forward, but maybe it'll convince them that they need to be less super right wing and they'll ultimately end up as a more moderate party. Maybe.

  • I'm not sure who this Liberal on the ABC is but he's edging closer to a full tantrum and I am here for it.

  • Mine had run out of sausages when I got there at 1pm. Undemocratic I reckon.

  • All those, plus:

    • a good cake stall at the polling station
  • I'm watching Underbelly for the first time since it "aired" and we all watched it on bootleg dvds smuggled over the border. Still pretty gripping.

  • Me either, I'm feeling a bit left out!

  • My take on the whole drama: hmm, maybe I should make a caramel slice.

  • Yay! You'll need that heating, Ballarat nights are nippy.

  • Great idea. It'd be low effort for them and would probably save them money on having to deal with/catch escaped dogs roaming the streets.

Councils tend to be more fragmented and disconnected than most orgs though so it'll be a matter of getting to the right person.

I hope the poor pup's ok. I grew up with kelpies and they're such beautiful dogs.
