  • Well, I don't like meat anyway, so...

  • Hero

    Jump
  • In the off chance that I get to writing a paper, I'm just going to publish it in one of the free ones and add a license to it that prevents the money grabbing ones from using it.
If noone looks at it, it's their loss.

  • Veganism requires vastly less land and water resources

    This too can cause misinformation.

Supporting a vegetarian diet requires less land and water resources.

Veganism requires the overuse of pesticides to the point that it makes the soil become unusable faster and hence needs higher treatment upkeep, essentially causing faster consumption of the limited energy resources we have.

    You are spreading misinformation.

You were correct until here, but the land use food calculator will actually only be giving information pertaining to a normal (non-vegan) crop.

  • I'll just wait until photosynthesis can support brain function.

  • β€œbroccoli”, β€œkale”, β€œcabbage” or β€œbrussel sprouts”

Well of course, they are domestic cabbages.

  • The current "space" we go into, tends to have a tinny amount of atmosphere. (1.322Γ—10-11 Pa according to some random top result on Google)
So if you want to keep inside conditions at around 1 atm for a human to stay, that's all the difference you need to keep, and a duct tape might work.

But the void I refer to, is very different.
    Think:

    • Vaporising metals
    • Theoretical quantum bubble formation

Normal spacecrafts made for "space", might even have their outer surface constantly being diffused in the void.

Disclaimer: I'm not a space nerd. The above is just speculation

  • heavy perfume ...

β€œI don’t care what you smell”

This is one reason I stopped eating lunch with other people. Some people use so much of Deodorant (oh the irony in the name) that the volatile compounds get adsorbed onto the surface of fluids in the mouth and then get tasted and also go into the stomach. All I'd say is - They taste bad.

I don't think those chemicals are supposed to be edible.

  • and fill a spray bottle with Lysol that she would spray around to give the smell of a clean bathroom

Depending upon the formula of Lysol, that's actually worse than not doing anything.
We've got a brand called Lyzol and that seems to be the same formula as Lysol, before it got regulated in the US. If this were to be sprayed, I'd consider the area poisoned.

    Lyzol

This contains some chemical that lingers even if you wash the floor with water afterwards and slowly produces volatile compounds, and stays for > a week. This gives me (and a few other people on quora) a headache. Again, from reports on quora, the smelly substance also tends to jump onto one's hand, on touching the surface, making it disastrous for cooking.
Nowadays, I use Dettol disinfectant liquid, which stops smelling after about 1/2 hour of wind.

  • Wait till we get far enough in space.

The voids will prove harder than the oceans.

  • I'd rather give my time and money to a game that I find worth paying for rather than pirating, but you do you.
Also, pirated games, like any other Windows program, work on Wine. Maybe not all, but not all Windows software work on Wine anyway.

  • Imagine having rootkits and APTs on your system, just to play some overpriced games, which you are later, remotely stopped from playing.

  • Right.
I feel like the text part is something GIMP should actually make an overlapping feature. That and basic shapes, which would make it much more useful for basic stuff.

But then, I'm neither a GIMP dev nor a heavy user and I have no idea of their target audience.

If you are making memes, Inkscape is what you are using most of the times. Though the lack of 2 click and 1 drag cropping, makes me feel a bit frustrated (still, you can crop).

  • Coming from Paint.NET, I first tried Photoshop and I felt its controls to be non-intuitive, so I reverted to Paint.NET.
Later, I started using GIMP and coming from someone with no experience in either of them, GIMP and Photoshop are equally non-intuitive, so whenever someone complaining about GIMP, feels like they are coming from Photoshop, I just discount their rating.

Inkscape is a vector graphics editor, which is different from GIMP.

  • Simple, just eat it and see.
    If you're dead, it's poisonous.
If you are alive, you haven't eaten enough.

  • I feel like the user's suggestion of "jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge" would be more impactful in that case, you know, to awaken your survival instincts, which prevents depression.
But on the off chance that someone actually goes and jumps off, a professional would probably not give that advice.

  • Amethyst

That reminded me of AMD's old Windows driver (accompanying software).

  • Glitches and cloud outages happen on Linux too, but erectile dysfunction is definitely a Windows problem.

Similarly, had you switched to Arch in your teens, you would never have had marital issues.

  • I’m gonna have one crapbox prebuilt just for the windows things

I did that too. For older games.
Then I went ahead and installed Linux on that one too.

  • Everyone who wants more of that, stop adding "/s" to your posts.

Even better, start using /s for serious instead
