I had no clue what the problem was until you pointed it out. I’m so tired of people purposefully misreading shit to make it seem bad.

On another person who’s actually running locally. In your opinion, is r1-32b better than Claude sonnet 3.5 or OpenAI o1? IMO it’s been quite bad, but I’ve mostly been using it for programming tasks and it really hasn’t been able to answer any of my prompts satisfactorily. If it’s working for you I’d be interested in hearing some of the topics you’ve been discussing with it.

I think people are just happy that OpenAI is getting shit on, even if the reality isn’t really what is being portrayed. For example I’ve been trying to use r1-32b and it’s really no where near as good as Claude sonnet 3.5 has been.

I stopped using openai so I can’t comment on the performance comparison there, but clearly the benchmarks are all just made up bs.

I’m confused what you’re asking. Google opens sourced the pebble code, which they acquired from their purchase of Fitbit, who acquired it when they purchased pebble. Repebble is an open source project that has been trying to keep the original pebble watches working since Fitbit shut pebble down.

Voyager seems to try to be an exact clone of Apollo, even when Apollo had things it didn’t do correctly. Mlem has much better commenting imo, for example I can pull down my reply box without closing it, in order to reread over comments in the thread or scroll around, and then pull it back up to continue replying. I also think Mlem is just more responsive, including with images. Though voyager has more features with images.

I had no clue that the App Store version hadn’t been updated though. I think many people using Mlem are on the TestFlight.

And he once again didn’t bother to actually do any journalism and so turned out completely wrong. Why would you trust someone like that, that has shown time and time again they can’t actually do the one thing they claim their job is?

The whole copper heatsink thing? Like literally all of it (like everything from that video, not just the heatsink) was immediately debunked and Steve did and said nothing to take back his comments. If I remember right he even doubled down, but I could be misremembering.

Gamers nexus was easily proven wrong too. Trusting gamers nexus on anything these days is just gonna make you look bad. Steve has clearly no problem with attacking LTT no matter what he has to make up in order to do so. LTT aren’t saints, but they aren’t making up shit in order to attack other creators. It’s just not possible to trust GN to be proper journalists anymore.

Same with How I met your mother. I had numerous people around me have their behavior completely change while watching that show, including my wife. As soon as I pointed it out to my wife she also started looking for it and noticed it as well. She refuses to watch it anymore because of that. It’s a terrible terrible influence on people.
