That's true also. And what's weird is, I'm gay but I've known a couple guys who were cis and dressed up as females because, it felt empowering to them. And they were both straight in terms of their orientation, one had a girlfriend, the other guy was married.

So it's kind of strange to be a gay person who is friendly (which I am), people open up to me about all kinds of things and, it's just assumed I will be OK with anything (because I'm gay? I guess) so, I've seen all kinds of things.

For the most part I accept others no matter what, because we all need validation and we all need to feel that. But i do get push back when I post that I'm cis and happy to be cis, like that's somehow unacceptable or disrespectful to others. It isn't meant to be at all.

Well a couple of times previously I've posted about being happy to be cis, and was immediately downvoted and pounced on by people saying I was bigoted and disrespectful to others. Yet all i was trying to say is, I'm gay and a cis person and I think that should be respected the same as it's expected for me to respect whatever someone else chooses to be.

To me, it's fucking awful. I always say, the Dark Ages had their chance already and failed - I don't want to be dragged backward into them again. Yet here is our legislature, this session passing a bill to forbid trans people from using restrooms, and a bill to demand that the ten commandments be placed in every school, public or private. Whether that school is a christian school or not. That's Utah for you. Whatever they do next is always worse than what they've already done.

Yeah I'm not against kids having phones for emergencies, I'm just against them having them on to text or sext or other stuff during school time. It's a different age. When I was in school, I don't think there had been a recorded school shooting yet (I mean this was the 60s and 70s) so, it wasn't even a thing we had to worry about.

Oh.....it didn't state that in the graphic. If it IS an unstoppable object, then I'd have to throw myself in front of it after making either choice, because I couldn't and wouldn't want to live with either of those choices.

I believe that also, it was more like the gods called out to me from a young age. My dreams were more than just vivid, I could feel the sensations completely, and sometimes heard voices after waking up that, I later learned, were speaking an old language of Egypt. As a young kid I hadn't even read about such things, so I just assumed I was a little wacko.

And I was, but now I'm a big wacko and I know what I believe is something deeply rooted inside my consciousness. It's like I've been there and walked those paths before. Reverence, it definitely is that and a sense of awe that is both terror and respect at the same time. I'm glad I'm not the only one who experiences that!

Well you shouldn't base your posts on whether or not people will "downvote" it. If they do it's usually because you've told the truth or said something they'd rather not hear. And after all, this isn't supposed to be a popularity contest. Online forums are the last place you should be seeking validation or a sense of self-worth, because you usually won't get it.

You should be willing to post honestly and openly about anything. If it gets downvoted, so be it. I see it as almost a way of measuring how much of what I said really affected people.

That's true the world has changed and we're much more an interconnected and online society than before. And a case can be made that phones have good uses as you point out.

But, coordinating pickups and job scheduling and such still shouldn't be done during class time. The problem here is that kids are allowing themselves to be distracted by their phones, and are using them in harmful ways - I've seen it myself, my neices and nephews talking about sex pictures they have been sent by their classmates during school hours.

I think phones and laptops definitely belong in modern schoolrooms but they do need to be regulated in some way. Kids are not as well-heeled as adults are and don't see the dangers.

What I love is how kids scream that they need their phones in case of emergencies, but are actually using them to text and watch Netflix. OK here comes the "when I was a kid this is how things were" speech - but when I was a kid, we got by just fine knowing if we needed a phone there was an office nearby. Of course that was in the stone ages before cell phones and hula hoops and frisbees and all these other modern doodads.

Well of course I get that. I wasn't trying to sound accusatory so much as just my impression of what it looked like. Which is fine because it gave me a feeling of wanting to share, and so - it's not a bad thing! The comic itself is quite good and you have a real talent for it.

Frankly I call it being a human. I love the masculine parts I was born with, but most often, I feel like i'm just a person, bopping along doing whatever I want and not worrying about if I'm being masculine or feminine. I'm just a human absorbing the experience of being alive. I'm a homo-sapiens sexual.

I'm a gay man who is happily embracing his cis-genderness but I would not shun trans people as the top figure in this graphic is doing. It seems like he's totally averse to even thinking about the concept.

Yet there's a lot of hostility toward cis people being happy about being cis, though we are kind of expected to fully support trans people embracing being trans. And I do - I just want the same sort of respect for being happily cis-gendered. For me, my gayness is about embracing the masculine (in every sense) and loving being born male. I know that gender and sexuality are unique for everyone - so my philosophy is, whatever you wish to be, embrace it fully and love it.

Our great overlords in Utah want to make Utah a sister state to Russia, they're always talking about what a great leader Putin is and how trump is an angel sent to earth by the Lord above. It's really great to live in such an educated and modern world, isn't it?

It's a very nice thought and if that is what works for you that's great. As long as you find peace and love along the way, that really is what matters most of all.

I don't why the old Egyptian gods resonate with me so much. As a kid I used to have dreams of the nile in the evening and felt like I could feel the hot wind coming over the river and stirring up ribbons of sand. I've never been to Egypt but I have a life-long love of the art and architecture.

The gods would not be displeased with this offering. But hold the onions.

Somehow that does keep happening. It necessitates many return trips to the drive thru.

I would take a sledgehammer and smash the trolley to bits, thus solving the problem and saving infinite number of lives. There's always another option available.

Lordy yes. I have a friend who's apparently friends with everyone else on the planet earth, he knows everyone from the mayor to the dog catcher to every person in every neighborhood we go into. Wherever we go, people come up to him and greet him and I'm like - uh - I'll just stand her and hold your coke. I feel like the wall flower that hasn't left my apartment in 25 years.
