This is why those of us with good credit unions need to be helping out those who dont by getting them membership. (I have done this for 3 people so far, and am encouraging others to do it as well. Someone do it for Critical Thinker specifically. no one deserves overdraft fees.)
Not OP but I'm personally not a fan of bit.ly (a private corpo) for what could've easily been a shortened link on their own domain that redirects to the page.
Possessing a digital device has nothing to do with consent. I'd rather not argue with someone so ignorant about reality they believe that privacy is a black and white issue.
Goodbye.
I hope that your kids aren't gay, trans, or part of literally any minority. If they are, I hope they aren't hunted down by the MAGAts that buy the data you supplied Google with about them willingly before they could even be mature enough to form an opinion about it to be able to consent.
I dont like the idea of google watching what my kids buy.
Edit for context: I dont like the idea of this being used to advertise to children. I dont like the idea of my child being used as a data point. I dont like the idea of a crazy ex who works at google using this to figure out what your kids are doing. I dont like ANY of the consequences of what this implies. Give your kid cash or a gift card. They dont deserve to have their Privacy rights violated before they can consent.
I didn't mean to try and invalidate how people consume their media, I'm just frustrated with the fact that there is no longer an option to even buy a smaller phone. When you I had originally responded to you with the TV comment, it wasn't about invalidating people who do watch tv on a phone. It was about the fact the ideal way to do it is on a tv, with the assumption that it was implied you could also watch stuff on a smaller phone. IMHO, a 6.5" screen for viewing is not that much different from a 5" screen, but it makes a world of difference for holding and using it. I can't type on my phone without using two hands currently, its constantly pulling on my pants, and if I'm not wearing a belt (say, sweatpants or shorts) I'm constantly pulling my pants back up, and I have a few pairs of pants where the thing falls out of my pocket and in between the car door while im closing it because of how big it is. I hate it and I want a smaller one. I apologize for any of it being a personal attack, but I still feel like every single phone being 6"+er is frustrating for people like me, and I know for a fact I'm not the only person with these problems.
i'm not moving the goalpost, I'm standing by what I'm saying. I dont need my brain to be constantly stimulated by media to function in day to day life.
I mean most forks can't do customization like this, most either stick to AOSP, or are closed source like OneUI and whatever the Chinese companies are doing now.
Why do people buy TVs? I feel like people forgot we used to have deligated tools. I can open a can with my pocket knife, but it's not the ideal way to do it... ugh
