Does windows not have any reliable filesystem snapshot capabilities? Because as soon as I learned about this whole thing my first thought was just that it would be easy to fix just rollback to the snapshot before the update

I did this as soon as they posted the tweet. They didn't even bother telling me they had done it or acknowledge my message and I just had to try logging in to make sure it actually got deleted. The complete lack of communication makes me even more glad to never give them business again.

Is it faster than pfetch? Everything slower than pfetch really annoys me

NsCDE is amazing it genuinely has like the most consistent look of any desktop I've used and it looks so good and works so well

Yeah I don't think it matters too much how he does it but he really needs to test that ruling because that's the only way it's going to get any restrictions put on it

It would be nice if the exterior display was just like an e ink one that showed a clock and notifications like the little lcds on old flip phone lids

About $200 for a used flagship from a couple years ago. I currently have a oneplus 9 I bought used last year and it's completely fine, there's nothing important I'm missing from any higher end phone

Wait people like automatic bathroom fixtures?? Every time I go into a bathroom with them they make my life so much harder than it needs to be. Especially automatic toilets, those things are genuinely one of the most horrible things to ever be invented

It's definitely been awful in the Eastern US so I believe it. The heat index in my house has been over 100 F almost every day for most of the past month or so

Did you buy your motherboard used? I wonder if it came out of that system and the builder was somehow able to change the DMI information

Yeah I also have one of these I've used on linux for years, it's always worked perfectly. Better than windows honestly since the one time I made the mistake of booting windows with it connected, windows found some driver that it automatically installed that instantly deleted all of my profiles so I had to go set them up again with piper. I didn't like that very much, that was the last time I ever booted windows on one of my primary computers

I wonder if more memory still increases post time even on modern computers that don't do a full test on every boot. I feel like I've noticed faster post on computers with less ram compared to ones with more but I haven't gotten around to actually testing changing the amount on the same computer
