  • Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan... The US has bought many allies in the region.

The danger is not an immediate loss of allies. The danger is a long term stable Middle East, that is not ridden by war and insurgency. if the Middle East realized its shared interests it would become a major global power. So the US needs Israel as the thorn right in the heart.

  • Given that Israel justifies the recent massacre in this way, this seems to be part of the plan to commit genocide, while preserving some sort of deniability.

  • Heyyy its your super duper new project manager! I hope you are feeling a-mazing because you are my a-ce on the team. Anyways i need you to do things twice as fast, because we are running low on budget after sales promised another feature without extra billing and the CEO already signed off on it. Please make this happen somehow. If this project isn't succesfull i'll get fired and have to sell the house. But no pressure!

  • The fucking German government called the massacer an "unfortunate use of weapons"

  • In this case probably a stolen credit or debit card.

    https://law.justia.com/codes/colorado/2022/title-18/article-5/part-9/section-18-5-903/

1 . A person commits criminal possession of a financial device if the person has in his or her possession or under his or her control any financial device that the person knows, or reasonably should know, to be lost, stolen, or delivered under mistake as to the identity or address of the account holder.

All of the charges look like CC fraud

  • It is both.

Germany often sees reckless driving compared to its neighbouring countries in similair road conditions. Lack of enforcement and small penalties do play an imporant role in that. The infrastructure is similiar, but other countries actually enforce things like speed limits much more actively. At the end of the day if bad driving equals unsafe driving, the person shouldnt drive.

  • The rules for driving demand to keep at least enough distance to the vehicle before you, that you can safely perform an emergency break, if the vehicle should do so too.

In driving ed i learned that you need to keep at least 2seconds distance to the car in front of you, one second to react and one second to perform a similiar break maneuver like them. If your vehicle is heavier you need to increase that distance.

Whenever i drove like this the only result was people taking it as an invitation to swear in between the car in front of me and me. I want undercover cops in plain cars to just drive and record everyone violating the safe distance or takeing the space that is left as safe distance. We could resolve muncipal debt and drop the amount of deadly accidents by at least 50% this way.

  • But the IP lobby sucessfully got that idea to the courts. In my country if you are caught torrenting a series episode just for 10 seconds, the courts accept the idea, that you spread like a hundred copies of the IP to people who would have definetely bought it otherwise, so you now owe the IP holder 1000 €.

    It is complete horseshit

  • Which shows why obsecenely rich people need to be kept at bay. Anyone who builds a doomsday bunker while profiting off the destruction of the climate is a genocidal mass murderer who enjoys killing people.

Living in a doomsday bunker is so much fucking worse than living in a sustainable society, while being just very rich instead of obsecenely rich.

  • Where did i say that? Between "Don't do this, it is lethally dangerous" and "it is a great idea, you should definetely do this!" is quite a large gray area.

  • That seems a bit unlikely. The solvents quickly evaporate off. Unless you are soaking it in solvents, there won't be enough to cause any relevant effect. Meanwhile the helmet is exposed to UV light on a daily basis, which will also degrade it over time.

You are also not going to burn from briefly touching laundry detergent, but keeping lots of it on your skin would be a problem.

  • The people who boil complex geopolitical events down to “haha western imperialism is finally getting challenged,

I mean that is what is factually happening right now. The US can no longer hold its diplomatic and military weight. The US and its allies are unable to prevent the Houthis from succesfull attacks in the Red Sea. On Israels genocide in Palestine the European countries are dividing. Putin is managing to divide the US internally and to have some European countries break away to his side. China doesn't give a fuck about US sanctions anymore and there is elaborate systems to bypass sanctions. As a result both Russian energy exports are laundered before being sold to the EU and US and western components end up in russian military equipment.

Cheering on the current prospecting alternative is stupid, as it is just another imperialist system.

But it is urgently necessary to realise the changing reality and use the window to create a world order, that puts all imperialists to limits and embraces a rule based international order of equal countries with equal people. Especially the EU could take this opportunity to renounce the remnants of its imperial ways and the subtle and open supremacist believes.

The EU countries made the terrible mistake to consider Trump an anomaly and were all to eager to remain complacent on Bidens presidency. But Trump wasn't just a pimple you wait to pass. He is the symptom of a deeper instability in the US.

  • I would not consider christianity to do so in a milder form. For instance Christianity still has a missionary mission, which is not relevant in Islam. While Islam has been encouraging science and research, Christianity has been strongly rejecting it, etc.

Christianity suffers from two main problems in this regard. The first being that the Bible is a political collection of various stories of the Gospel and time after. The second being the long time between Jesus lifetime and the first written reports. This is fundamentally different to Islam, where not only the revelation, but also the life of the prophet Mohammed are well documented and preserved. The Quran is still in its original text and translations are from the direct arabic source. If you read an english bible it was translated from latin by some guy in the middle ages, and the latin version is a few hundred years older, but was translated from old greek, which was translated from older aramaic writings. it is impossible to be a true to the bible christian, because there is hundreds of different versions and they are all representing a political motive in one way or the other. Core concepts of christianity, like Jesus being the literal son of god and the concept of trinity didnt exist until hundreds of years after, when the church wanted to find a way to make christianity more digestible for pagans. Even the core christian holidays, Easter and Christmas are just rebranded pagan holidays using pagan themes.

  • On the one hand because Islamists purposefully misinterpret the message of Allah.

On the other hand it has an extremely complicated historical development that cannot be understood without western imperialism in the Middle East. I can recommend the documentary Hypernormalisation that gives a very rough overview of how it came to be in the larger context of failing western imperialism and the hypocricsy of modern politics.

  • Also this is data that any reasonable company could get in like half an hour of searching and asking.

There is data on how many meals are sold a day at the mensa, how many students are enrolled, how many students live on campus...

Unless the vending machine is in the last corner of the third floor of an half empty building, all this information can be puzzled together to get a good estimate of how many people are passing the machine on a day to day basis.

  • That is not how the world works. Unless by this logic you also consider it to steal from me, by not giving to me, in which case you could stop stealing 10.000 $ from me by sending them to me.

  • Dude reportedly made 193 million $ last year. By this point he must have enough money safed up, that he could spend a million every year for the rest of his life.
