Large instances are usually well covered enough. I don't know if Lemmy/Mbin pull sll posts for a thread you visit but Mastodon has plans to do so in the future to alleviate this issue.

Well it's difficult to know what you don't know, but the admin of fedia.io is the same as the admin of infosec.exchange et. al. and that's not a small instance. When people discuss Mbin instances my impression is that fedia.io would be one of the bigger ones.

Even though apps interconnect it's a good idea to use the best client for the service. But, sure - I can start following "@3dmvr@lemm.ee" from my Mastodon account. It's also possible to subscribe to a Lemmy group from Mastodon, and reply to it.

But the best user experience is had by creating a Lemmy/Mbin account on such a server and interacting from there - like I am with my fedia.io account here now.

I just saw a post on Reddit (didn't save the link) where commenters pointed out all the other "coincidences" with Elon Musk and Nazism. Some could be real coincidences, but wow did they add up. Is there a place anyone knows of that have collected things like this?

Examples:

"420" actually not being a nod to cannabis culture but referencing Hitler's 4/20 (americans ...) birthday "8/8" Tesla august 2024 robotaxi event "X" is the 88th character in the ASCII alphabet

fedia.io here too, it's the one I recommend to others as well. No specific "angle", just works, based in Europe.

Errol is known for making shit up regarding Elon. The interview in which he mentions this is also from 2022 while the story about the coincidence is from 2017 so plenty of time for Errol to have picked up on it.

Because, if the publishing history for von Braun’s book on Wikipedia is correct, then Errol couldn’t have heard about it when he was a child and used it as the basis for naming his son – as it wasn’t actually published until well after Elon Musk was born.
