More money to investigations and less money to pretend humane ways to kill people. The only humane way to kill someone is a shot to the cerebellum, any other way is just a way to make the assholes killing someone and those watching feel better about themselves, it doesn't positively impact those being executed at all.

Even the "most humane" lethal injection is one of the worst ways to kill someone that I know of, and after several years in the military I would choose the actually humane option of a bullet over ANY dipshit politicians push for their incompetent and clearly inhumane suggestions that exist purely to profit chemical corporations.

It's expensive because of the means of execution (and investigation to determine qualifying fault) and we should be applying the required amount of investigation time FOR ALL CRIMES that put people behind bars, not JUST people sentenced to death.

I'd rather spend the money to insure someone actually deserves to die or be in prison rather than have questions AT ALL surrounding the potential of an innocent person being sent to prison or executed.

The amount of innocent people in prison is ludicrous and the amount of people in prison for completely asinine and incompetent laws is beyond ridiculous.

If you're braindead enough to just go out and buy anything a celebrity endorses, I don't feel anything but derision for you.

Most celebrities don't even have the education or critical thought to back most of their wholly incompetent opinions, so people getting tricked by AI is really a non-issue since they're dumb enough to think that what a celebrity talks about or endorses has any meaning or impact whatsoever.

There's a middle ground where we can easily achieve a decent public education, effective healthcare, UBI and investment in military technology.

This isn't a situation where it's one or the other, and it rarely ever is a situation where it's one or the other.

Why should we keep a killer alive on tax dollars?

I pay taxes to help people that deserve it, not keep killers alive (as slaves in these private prisons for private profit or) in public prisons with three square meals and a free education.

We've long passed 'gilded age' more than a decade ago, we've been in a technological dystopia built for the rich since the early 00's (or early 80's depending on who you ask and how you interpret the technological innovation of the stock market and abuse of the international exchanges and SWAP markets by market makers for monetary gain).

How this moron is only NOW seeing it seriously indicates a massive failing in both education and ability to observe business and economic situations.

UBI is neither left or right, it's ridiculously logical. If people don't have money, you don't have an economy. No economy, no taxes, no taxes, no government, no government, no support for the people and no military, no military, no defense from aggressors, no defense from aggressors, welcome back to the age of Gengis Khan.

You don't need to assign a political leaning to something that's fundamentally economic in nature.

There are entire industries that are dying as we speak and they will NOT be returning and they will NOT have jobs to replace them like there has been throughout history of automation. (Manufacturers got automated bots, but those bots required people to set, align, and assist or repair. Now all of this will be able to be done by other bots with a single site overseer who, eventually, will also be a bot)

This isn't a printing press situation where the writers are replaced by a printing press so they can better focus on journalism instead of writing individual papers by hand, this is a situation where we will have entire industries die and entire sets of professionals age out and entire professions lost to the void.

Another example of this would be bank tellers vs ATM's back in the day, the tellers thought ATM's would remove their jobs, it reduced their jobs at first, then changed their jobs outright to financial administration and management, rather than doling out cash to people, made their jobs more efficient and fundamentally different.

This is not that situation. The tellers will lose their jobs as well this time, and so will the bank managers and investors.

Nearly all IoT items are developed for idiots, which is interesting because most of them are also made by idiots.
