It's kind of amazing (no pun intended). For a very long time, you could track her throughout the house by her snorting / wheezing - she was on par with my fifty+ pound dog in terms of snoring noises.
We thought it was because of allergies and hoped it would disappear when we moved hundreds of miles away from the theorized allergens, but nothing really changed. Recently, we took her to the vet for her swollen ear and they prescribed antibiotics (and some other stuff). Since then, in a matter of two or three weeks, her wheezing has almost disappeared.
We thought that the vet wouldn't help much because we thought the cause was allergies, but I wish we'd taken her earlier. She's clearly breathing so much more freely now.
Her ear injury appears to be largely cosmetic, so I don't think it's hurting her, but I'm glad someone professional looked at it.
Or, to go on a tangent from all of the above, I agree: get well soon, Maze.
Oh, sure, many companies are named after their founder's surnames - I didn't mean to suggest I doubted that. I just meant that the Leatherman I knew was unassociated.
The "Tim" fact is pretty funny. Thank you for the information.
I used to work with someone bearing the last name of "Leatherman." They similarly lamented their lack of association with the company sharing their name.
When I was a kid, I had a series of rodents, including rats. I always thought it was really cool how my rats, when walking along a tenuous surface, would wrap (or attempt to wrap) their tails around the object (usually my arm) to provide themselves security from falling.
I don't know if possums do the same, I've never encountered one, but your "amazing creatures" interjection reminded me of that.
I tried to verify this with a web search, but only got an AI response and many ad-laden sites. The best result I got was this one but I don't know if dailypaws can be trusted.
Going back to the "being friends" thing, I think you and I could be friends due to applying qualities to numbers; but I think it might be challenging because I find 7 and 8 to be two of the best. They're quirky, but interesting.
A long time ago, I got a maze tattooed on my back. Very soon thereafter, people started telling me this exact thing. Apparently, I in fact got a labyrinth tattooed on my back.
It's concerning that all of those words are past tense.
