What do you mean by breakthrough? Iran has had the means and technology to enrich uranium for years. When they ended international transparency to their programs that already was a major red flag.

Well on Iran you’re probably not wrong, I don’t think many Israelis feel sympathetic towards a regime that has vowed to destroy them by 2040.

I don’t think that allegation is completely implausible. Although it will probably be impossible to independently verify for a number of years.

I mean yeah, democratic decline, dwindling ressources and climate change are putting the world on a path to a lot more conflict. This is going to be the new normal going forward if we don’t manage to stop the underlying problems. Doesn’t mean there will be a massive world war, but it definitely means there will be more significant wars.

Take out the Iranian regime that’s holding their country hostage and Iranians will do the rest themselves.

I don’t see how Israel can lose this war, they are miles ahead in terms of military technology thanks to the US and parts of Europe and if anything goes seriously wrong they will be bailed out by a US invasion force.

We will see I suppose. Your last sentence is most certainly true in any case but I will stand by the fact that after 13 years a mechanical problem will much more likely be due to bad maintenance- especially given AIs difficult track record in that regard.
