Somewhat similar to my situation. Active job, a bit of bike riding and stable between 105-110kg. Fall one and a half years ago as the cycling season wound down I took the plunge on a black friday/week and got me some basic gym gear and got a rebated membership. Chose the one with the most classes because I knew myself, that without exterior pressure (having signed up to a class) I would drop off. Half a year later I was down 20kg by having many evenings taken up by fitness classes. Which made me get home later. Have dinner later. And didn't get time to get snacky before bedtime. That the snacking got cut out did the heavy weight loss and all the training have revitalised me.
Then the last year dropped another 5kg while getting stronger and more visibly fit. So the excess fat loss (which I'm more concerned about) is probably greater.
Year long lowest possible to keep whatever fluids are in the radiators flowing. Not off but not too on either. And then open windows to regulate temperature.
Haven't played any civ in ages but there should (could) be a setting "Only War" or something similar that makes everyone hostile to eachother. Or there may be a mod to the same effect.
A bench, adjustable dumbbells and a pullup bar will get you there. Lots of home/garage gym information out there. And then there is body weight training, yoga etc if you don't want to work with weights.
But then there is the motivation and discipline factors. For me it is easy to put on a workout video but also easy to not really put in any effort. I'm bad at holding myself accountable at home. So instead I go the gym. One should also never ignore the social aspect of hitting the gym even if you seal yourself off with headphones and never talk to anyone. You do become part of the group/scene. And if your gym offers them I will recommend classes.
Hear me out, tinfoil hat on. Grok is doing precisely what it is supposed to do, to leave a trickle of treasonous information about trump so that when musk dissolves the government the "facts" are already out there.
Opens criminal investigation. Does "investigation", finds no fault. Blasts out the Tates have done no wrong, Romania bad. Suggests Papa Putin take over and reform Romania.
As others have said, and that I will echo, is to find an activity to socialize around. Since you like music find local groups in that area. Perhaps a choir needs some instrumental backing or another voice. Or try something new, like pottery. I highly recommend arts and crafts. You can also hit the gym, especially if you find one focusing on classes. Through those I've been building a whole new social network.
And Canada does have a land border with an EU country - Denmark. Canada and Denmark had a long standing border dispute over Hans island featuring multiple armed raids. It was resolved in a mature and sensible fashion to just divide the island. Good for all involved.
I enjoy it. Good themeparkey action-adventure-rpg. Beautiful and awesome environments. Gameplay is good enough as I'm mostly there to see the spiritual fallout from PoE2.
Something I never really got from the summaries on the research is how much training increase they looked at. And what type. I bet going fron 0 to 30 minutes a day would look different than the span 0-120.
