  • When Epic first launched, they didn't have payment processors in a number of countries. Want to play that Epic exclusive game? Well too fucking bad because you can't buy it. That one frustrated me as someone who lives outside of some of the major countries. Also, the people behind it are absolute tools in my opinion and I'd rather not support them.

  • I have done that year after year. The chucklefuck Ds in office now who can't be bothered to look up from their insider trading to do literally anything useful are never getting another vote from me. Anyone who lands on the next ballot with a D next to their name is far from guaranteed to get my vote. If the Ds refuse to do anything at all about this brewing constitutional crisis and ending of the rule of law. Voting more of the same in isn't any kind of change, particularly if they just let those in charge shit on everything.

  • I blocked all the communities as they came up. I guess it's meant to compete with TikTok or yt shorts or whatever, but I've never been into that type of content and what I saw here didn't change that

  • Yeah, most US salad dressing are either based on oil or mayo (which is also somewhat based on oil). Ranch is mayo, sour cream (or similar), and a bunch of dried herbs/spices. I think it's the sour cream part I never cared for, but I also don't much like US mayo. I thought I hated all mayo until I had Japanese Kewpie.

  • Cold pizza was generally a texture issue for me: congealed grease is not pleasant. To me, anything that I could generally eat cold has better flavor and texture when heated so I would never opt for the (to me) inferior version unless it were unavoidable.

  • I'm a software engineer and I had to quit self-hosting due to simply not having the time nor the ability to research and keep up with security, products that were going away, new ones, etc. I have a job, run a farm, and do housework and other work. It's just not in the cards for me.
