  • You seem like the guy who kept writing in hand and didn't want to use the typewriter, even though it went 2x times faster.

Or the guy who kept writing the typewriter and didn't want to use the computer.

    You see the point?

  • I think realistically you know that very few people share the same thinking. What EU is doing is for everyone to benefit from a better system without anyone ever realising they changed.

I share your view btw and also very familiar with and user of crypto. But honestly, crypto is not for everyone and never will be. People want the safety net that is banks and governments.

  • ITT: People who are scared of things they don't understand, which in this case is AI.

In this case, the "AI" program is nothing more than pattern recognition software setting a timestamp where it believes there's something to be looked at. Then an officer can take a look.

It saves so much time, and it filters out anything irrelevant. But be careful because it's labelled "AI". Scarry.

EDIT: Comments to this comment confirms that you don't understand AI, because if you did, you'd know that this system who scans video is not a LLM (large language model). It's not even the same system in its core.

  • So it must be like this:

They see a way to interpret what the EU means in the worst way possible, BUT it's only so they can go to court.

Why would they? Because they would be able to keep their monopoly until the case is done. Basically, buying time.

They're probably confident that they can get away with this cheap (or by paying less than what they'll gain).

Extremely shitty done by Apple, but a common strategy among shitty companies.

  • Yeah, the guy taking money from Google and giving them to the poor, cleaning the oceans and helping the environment. We MUST lose respect for him, just because he posted on a social media platform we prefer not to use.

That's the logic behind this. Honestly?

  • Remember that Taiwan is a big player in the semiconductor market, and their fate will always be kinda risky because of China.

This is a way to spread out the eggs to other baskets, so the world is not so reliant on a small independent (for now) country.
