  • Unfortunately this symbolism has existed for a long time in the form of the fasces (fascis is latin for fa**ot). A symbol of authority that was heavily used by the fascists (hence the name).
Though of course it would be great if it could be repurposed to for a more positive use :)

  • Prompt: Sport photography shot, A martial artist wearing a blue gi wielding a mallet, smashing a dented silver Lexus LS400, the car is ruined and the windshield is broken, in an olympic stadium with a crowd in the background, a scoreboard can be seen in the distance with the numbers "00:28", wide-angle shot, action shot, natural lighting --ar 3:2 --style raw --v 6.1

    I mean... I'd watch it :)

For those who don't get the reference.

  • Are you a cat with a hat?
Don't take it personal, they're a very elitist bunch :)

  • Aw darn it, second place again! :)

  • Awesome, thanks for the feedback

  • The seven days are up and here's the final tally:

@cron@feddit.de, feel free to take this, add your points for OP favorite and Most original and choose your winner.

It's easiest to copy the table from this post, add the extra points in the Bonus column and update the total score. Or, you know, just say it out loud in a reply and I'll update this table :)

  • I'm sure someone else will be happy to take up this challenge :)

  • After reading up a bit on these cards, I guess you're right.
A lucky coincidence, it wasn't my intention :)

  • Thanks :)

  • Thank you!

  • The style reference (that --sref thing) helps a lot in maintaining a consistent style. I used one of my earlier, generic, tarot cards as a base reference.
Still, I wish I could get the borders and fonts to be a bit more consistent as well. Maybe using multiple cards with words for reference would make it even nicer :)

  • Bull run

    Jump
  • May you start every sentence with "Like,"

  • Surprise! Maybe a bit meta, but I got surprised myself while trying to create a surprise themed image.
It is not at all what I tried to do with the prompt, but doesn't that make it the best surprise of all? :)

Prompt: movie still, a surprised burglar, with their outstretched hand stuck in the mouth of a safe, the safe has sharp teeth and bites the burglar's hand, in an office at night, dim lighting --ar 4:3 --stylize 75 --v 6.1

  • That's ok, I don't think anyone could have foreseen this :)
And don't worry about making the cells line up, no one will ever get to see it unless they look at the source.

In the future, there are plenty of online tools to quickly convert something like CSV to Markdown. I found this one with a simple search:

  • I met my partner 25 years ago online on a sort of social network website called sixdegrees. They lived in Singapore and me in the Netherlands. I already had a trip planned to SG so ee decided to meet up.
It was a fun time, but we were both way too shy and insecure to make a move (it was our first relationship :)
It took another couple of weeks before we finally worked up the courage to admit our feelings. We had a long distance relationship for less than a year before it fizzled out.

About six years later we got in touch again and the spark reignited. They came to visit me and we fell truely in love. Plans were made and my partner moved to NL two years later. We’ve been together for 16 years now.

  • Hmmm... Looking at the code, the only cause I can think of is the larger amount of dashes on the second line. Other than that it looks like valid markdown. Maybe that's why it doesn't parse very well in your apps? They look OK in Voyager and Thunder.

Anyway, I'll see if I can keep this in mind for next week's tally by adding an easier to read (and edit) alternative.

  • That's strange, do you have the same problem with my post?

  • 7 days are up. Here's an overview of the upvote and prompt scores. @PeriodicallyPedantic@lemmy.ca, feel free to copy and add your bonus and penalty points :)
