That's certainly possible. I still trust a stranger more than the current incarnation of the federal government, if those are my only choices.

If my choice is one group of rich people or another group of rich people I'll choose the ones I don't know over the ones I'm definitively sure are assholes.

I'd trust a random rich person over the current federal government. There's a good chance they're an asshole but I know for a fact the president and Congress are.

Yeah you're right. Young children are renowned for their vast attention spans, or at least they used to be before cell phones were invented. Nobody ever passed notes, made paper airplanes, graffitied on their desks, or drew pictures in class prior to 2006.

Literally anything can distract kids and make them throw a tantrum when you take it away. Have you ever met a child?

School exists to teach you how to function in society. In our society, like it or not, everyone has a cell phone. Let's focus on teaching them to integrate this tool into their lives in a productive way.

Carts, busses. There's wheels in lots of stuff.

Yeah who needs the wheel either? We survived 450,000 years without it. And don't get me started on paper. Paper can be used to make paper airplanes or spitballs. What a distraction! Kids should chisel their assignments onto stone slates like our ancestors did.

Devil's advocate, he could have been talking about people like Oscar Schindler. I don't believe he was, and if so he phrased it in the stupidest way possible. I bet that's how they spin it if he gets a lot of heat over this though.

I'm not pretending it's impossible. I'm saying that someone whose advice is "well just quit then" doesn't have a good understanding of the problem.
