  • Can relate tbh. Like, I'm not going to turn the pages for you, all ya gotta do is ask and do it.

But fr, I'll talk about anything that isn't small talk. But I really don't like carrying a conversation that A: doesn't interest me, and B: has no ultimate goal (see: smalltalk).

  • The state I currently live, Louisiana, and it seems like blinkers at all is a premium package upgrade. Hell, half the time cops don't even use them around here. The only vehicle I can reliably see use them are out of state 18 wheelers.

Was behind a driver's Ed car once, no kids, the instructor. No blinker used....

  • Depends on how much I have to be scanned. If it's a handful of things vs an entire cart full of groceries. At this point I don't have an issue generally with self checkouts as a replacement for express lanes. But I refuse to waste mine and everyone behind me time with 100+ grocery haul. I've been a cashier before. I know how to be fairly efficient at self checkout. But I also know being able to put all my items on a conveyor belt while a trained cashier scans and bags is just faster.

  • I'm guessing, per the article, that as long as you're not exposing telnet/ssh directly, you should be ok? If you're doing that already, why? I could see having some iot device that isn't properly segmented from the rest of your lan already problematic, and something like this would be a concern.

  • I guess. I tried everything within reason to play it. VLC, mpv, windows media player etc. all with various degrees of failure. Even went down a rabbit hole of trying codecs from websites that looked frozen in time from the late 90's, as it was an old cam system.
