As someone who works in psychiatry and frequently administers cognitive tests, his comments are hilarious.
The hardest question on the ACE-III is getting someone to remember a name and address for about 15-20 minutes whilst you get them to do the other tasks - mostly repeating sentences after you, naming objects, following simple two-step commands and other things which anyone without dementia should be able to do just fine.
"Aceing" the test is just doing things that pretty much anyone without cognitive impairment should already be able to do.
The best time to enjoy the flavour is during the two 5 minute advert breaks, which will occur at 5 and 10 seconds into your fluoride wall-licking experience.
Our father... great guy. The best guy really. And he says the same about me. I hear it from people close to him all the time, he says 'Donald Trump, great guy, not like Biden'... And he lives in the sky, can you believe that? Right up there, with the planes... The great American planes.... Boeing. And you know where they're made? I'll tell you where they're not made... China
And this rising potency is a direct consequence of cannabis being illegal. Producers are breeding stronger and stronger strains with higher THC content and lower CBD to get the most bang for their buck. This is true for all illicit drugs, as they tend towards becoming more potent when they need to be smuggled (e.g. why fentanyl is often added to heroin, as it delivers more potency per gram).
If you legalise and regulate it, suddenly that pressure is taken away. Cannabis is produced in consistent and known strengths, distributed in packaging that clearly states the potency so people can make informed choices about what they take.
Surely if presidents are able to appoint supreme court justices, there has never been separation of powers? And is that not a big part of why we're in this mess now?
I'm reminded of a comment I saw on Reddit which I saved a while back. Can't remember who posted it, but I often think about it:
Entrepreneurship is like one of those carnival games where you throw darts or something.
Middle class kids can afford one throw. Most miss. A few hit the target and get a small prize. A very few hit the center bullseye and get a bigger prize. Rags to riches! The American Dream lives on.
Rich kids can afford many throws. If they want to, they can try over and over and over again until they hit something and feel good about themselves. Some keep going until they hit the center bullseye, then they give speeches or write blog posts about "meritocracy" and the salutary effects of hard work.
Poor kids aren't visiting the carnival. They're the ones working it.
My partner is a scientist and has to travel to the US for work later this year. We're both dreading it, given all these stories of people being detained at the border.
Sounds like a MoCA. Face, velvet, church, daisy, red are the usual 5.
I wonder if whoever administered the test was overly generous in the marking of it 😂
