I'm all for communication forms evolving over time but this is basically just a fully reductionist version of a meme. You could literally have any two people in the picture and keep your usage

Easy! The only I use. The rest are too bloated and/or have too little built in and are too easy/hard. Real Linux wizards agree

General principals are great until you take them to an extreme. There's always cases where you need to do something a bit different

Unfortunately the game is specifically designed to waste your time if you want to see everything it has to offer. So it's not really the communities fault for pushing to maximize that time spent. Just a consequence of a deliberately slowed down system

Ime most people who report to read very fast tend to absord less information. They also seem to spend less time picking apart the details and mulling them over. For me a big part of reading isn't really reading but thinking in-between moments of reading

Depends on if you're a linguist or an English teacher. Linguists only care about effective communication. Whereas language teachers tend to focus on an arbitrary standard based on tradition and accepted academic norms

Unfortunately most people don't have a linguistics course. Hence why the internet is full of people who think they're "correct" but have terrible communication skills

Well yeah ofc they are. They make the seats too small so you pay for the premium. They make the food too shitty so you pay for the premium. They add too many stops to the flight so you pay for the premium. They make the carry-on requirements too small so you pay for the premium. And on and on and on

It's all about profit. Any system focused on profit will eventually (and always) remove any and all human elements as allowed for the sake of that profit
