  • Speaking as someone who fits the description and currently working on my license for UK Ham (direct to full) I will be using voice. Reason being calling a CQ is pretty structured and you can read it off a script, the response is fairly structured as well, and you can just do that if you want, no obligation to branch off into actual unstructured conversation unless you want to.

Plus as others have mentioned there are plenty of ways were you can still participate without having to physically speak to other people, RTTY or automatically translated morse would be ok.

  • Power Trip, with Riley on vocals when they played Bloodstock early Sunday morning, way before lunch. Was a fan of their Nightmare Logic album so I was going whatever was happening, but as they played their set the crowd just kept growing, and would rival a lot of early evening bands. For the last day of the festival, in the morning.

They gave everything for the performance and when I met them afterwards they were just completely wasted having flown over and more or less gone straight on stage.

You can watch the show here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPRBpKybx_U&pp=

  • Posting as I don't really use splits despite owning a few, but I do use a large selection of 40s and 30s as my daily drivers for coding.

Past week I have been using my Equinox as I got bored with how big my Equinox XL is, I just wasnt using the right side of it past ;, I wanted the same aesthetic but smaller.

I regularly use a QAZ and I have a number of V4N4G0Ns that I use more often. I have another 40 or so boards that I use a lot less regularly, mostly because they simply have too many keys for me or I just do not like the layout in practice. This is the big thing with 40s, way more variation in layout, much easier to find something that fits your particular usage style.

The trick is to make use of layers as much as possible, and theme your layers around the task that you are trying to accomplish. For example, if you regularly use a numpad now, create a locking layer (plenty of ways to do this in QMK) that has the same layout as a numpad. I have a layer that is just for my window management in Sway.

The other trick is to move your most common symbols, actions, F keys, etc. to the home row on those layers and only the most used. Making your most used keys that you would normally be reaching for much more accessible. The big thing I aim for is moving my hands less. A full sized board you have to move your hands all the time, on a 40 I only move to use my track ball.

  • Yeah, I agree, but that should be the same for any driver if it's been preagreed.

Which is why I want to know if they will Massa him or will allow him to race at all. Checo was just nowhere near, but I still have a slim hope Liam might be close enough to out qualify him enough.

  • I do not buy that he wasn't always a nazi, just that when he takes his meds he remembers he has to hide being a nazi becuase it costs him money. This is another example of him going back on his meds and realizing he just made it harder for himself to earn money, again. His mom was someone who actually tried to look after him and make sure he took his meds, rather than trying to bilk him for every penny.

  • If you are the person asking the floating window question from the other day as JustAnotherKay spotted, then this is how I set a window to floating in my config;

    for_window [title="www.youtube.com" app_id="firefox"] floating enable, resize set 1280 720 , opacity 1

What this is doing is selecting any firefox app that has www.youtube.com anywhere in the title and make that floating, with a set size, and remove any opacity (transparency) that might be applied to the window.

You can add move absolute position 0 0 on the end if you want to set the absolute location for the window.

You can force a window to a particular workspace by:

    assign [class="discord"] workspace number $ws2

and that workspace to a particular monitor with:

    workspace $ws2 output DP-1

If I wanted to do this for all firefox windows I would just remove the title= part from the selection.

How do you get the titles and other components? Using swaymsg as follows:

    swaymsg -t get_tree

this will output all your open windows per monitor, for each app you want to manage you are looking for something like:

    #15: con "#tech-talk🖥 | 40% Keyboards - Discord" (xdg_shell, pid: 6260, app_id: "discord")

from here you its simple to pick up what you can use for a unique select, so app_id:="discord" in this case.

If you reload your config file, then reopen the app, it should reflect the changes you made to the config file. Logging on and off in the worst case will restart it.

  • I like longer form sailing channels that avoid the more obvious place or lack basic sailing skills and are frankly dangerous. I don't get to sail as much as I like so this is a good look and what I would rather be doing.

Maddison Boat Works their recent videos are of their epic tour of the Pacific Ocean, the road less travelled. Beautifully shot and narrated.

NBJS single-handed sailing in the North Sea, often in bad weather.

Alluring Arctic depending what time period you pick there is a wide range of mostly arctic sailing. They recently did the North West passage and are currently over wintering in Greenland.

  • Musk is definitely linked to Putin because there is no way Trump would share the spotlight for this long unless Putin was insisting on it.

However, I suspect all Putin has is the receipts for Musk helping to block the Ukrainian attack on the Russian fleet by turning off starlink, helping buy Twitter, shutting down investigations into Musks companies (via Trump), future promises of money and power by removing all sorts of worker and environmental protections.

He's gotten in so deep he can't get back out even if he wanted to.

  • Yeah it's wild. I am lucky this one delivered. I have another board that's at the three year mark and seems to be another year out based on current progress.

I've had three boards completely fail to deliver and one keycap set, all with the runner skipping town. It's the risk of the GB model.

  • Equinox XL. Europe buyers had to wait an extra eight to ten months over rest of world due to the European vendor not shipping promptly. The board even went on discount elsewhere before we even got ours lol
