  • Yes, I spent years breaking the screen of this phone and eventually replacing it. I've finally got a screen protector and it's been great... But the screen will almost certainly crack when you remove it. Bummer about the extra cost.

  • My phone still has an aux jack : humble brag:

It's a pixel 3a from at least 6 years ago :opposite of a humble brag:

...I actually love the shape and function of this phone. I only wish it had security updates, and didn't have Google.

  • I want true cleaning hacks. I just got a dishwasher last week for the first time in my life and it's a huge time saver. What else is like that? The most common sense of course is putting things away after you use them, and another hack is cleaning the kitchen before bed, but what else? Does wiping down the shower every time I use it help? Should I get a used roomba? Are there any roomba-type-objects that mop? Give me the knowledge please.

  • Agreed, "cloak" feels bigger and heavier than "shawl." Cloaks aren't necessarily specific though: you might get coats, or ponchos, or shawls.

    Maybe search "shawl cloak"?!

Edit: The user below has it! Search "rechteckmantel."

  • When I was very young (and screaming on a flight), I remember a flight attendant bringing two Styrofoam cups to my mom to put over my ears. It helped immensely! This might be easier than the technique described above? I'll read again and try this though.

Pressure changes still hurt me immensely, but I've developed my own way of dealing with it.

  • Yes but if those same people get on board for a general strike... Suddenly everyone will have to listen.

I understand the Saturday protest mentality right now. We can't all take a weekday off to see if somebody shows up downtown to protest, but we can meet up on a Saturday to stir the pot and make connections with each other. Strikes take a lot to organize and we don't really have labor unions anymore.

  • We're building toward a general strike, but it would be irresponsible to call for one now. There is actual preparation required for something like that, which includes both the financial preparation but also the garnering of support and commitments.
