  • It is disinformation warfare. We can argue this and that should be done, but it is unlikely it would make much difference. Many people who voted for trump had believed Harris positions that were opposite from reality. People get their news from social media which is easily manipulated.

Ironically social media are no longer social, they are full of bots and AI generated content that is used to manipulate our views.

  • I doubt it. We are continue to underestimate information warfare. Look at Romania. A guy sympathetic to Russia who no one heard about few months ago won the first round.

The same techniques were used this election and previous one in US and Europe and we still ignoring it.

  • I see this blame of various groups, of Harris of Democrats often one contradicting the other, but almost no one is acknowledging that we are in the middle of information warfare. We saw is effects in invasion of crimes in 2014, in brexit in 2016, trump election of the same year, across elections in Europe and still very little is done about it.

When some people were asked about why they voted for trump their answers were bizarre, out of touch with reality.

Today majority of people gets the news from social media which unlike traditional MSM is much more prone to be manipulated by foreign powers. Russia especially matters it, add their active measures developed during cold war work really well with current Internet.

  • I was his fan at the time and at the reveal and it still looked like a joke to me. He also didn't deliver on range and price.

The only people that got interested in it are those that wants to get attention, because the shape provides it. It doesn't look like the car provides anything else.

  • I was initially strongly in defense of it, but it now benefits corporations and almost no private users (as it originally was intended). So removing it probably would be a net benefit. Or maybe make it only applicable to private people and non profit.

  • The social media sites are known to collect vast information about us. The explanation is that it is meant for targeted ads, but the same information can be also used to know which buttons to press.

You scroll between funny videos and once in a while you get something that maybe will anger you, or maybe scare and in any way impact what you will do.

Just taking a recent example. To pro Palestinian people they received messages that Harris is bad for Palestine and we can show her and protest by not voting.

Meanwhile the same social media was telling pro Israeli people that they should not vote for Harris, because she is pro Palestine.

This is how they are getting desired outcome. And unlike MSM they can fine tune the message to specific category of people.
