  • There's no way to really test to see if women experience the same level of shock when their junk hits the frost, as it's subjective. I bet it's still a bit of a quick jolt, though, at best as good as when my armpits hit the water.

That said, men literally have their junk go up in them when it's cold enough, so...

  • Depends on who ya sample, haha. Obedience has a lot of factors, and yes, the Trump voters share a lot of those traits, like authortarian thinking and black and white morality; but also not in some regards (agreeableness, for instance, is likely to confirm but that can easily define neolibs too).

Social intelligence, though, less likely as well as self-monitoring and a few other things that I'll need to check my notes on that I don't remember off hand. It's pretty intuitive, you don't shock people if you have a traits that make you question your actions and would ultimately regret it.

Third fun fact for you, obedience research came out of WW2, and Milgrim in particular was trying to understand why people would follow Nazi orders. Weird how history repeats itself, huh?

  • Traditionally, yes, but I do want to note that modern takes use it to also argue for cooperation, since working with with others is good for survival and passing on genes. They also are the first to tell people how bunk the alpha male crap is, and the fact a lone wolf is a dead wolf.

  • As fucked as this all is, it really is a "they're just like us!" group running things. It might as well be on fucking Discord with people going "gg Yemen."

Note: you do not want laymen running your fucking military, let alone the whole government.

  • Fun fact, there's limited replication studies because it was unethical and caused participants a lot of distress. Some IRBs will permit a replication up to a much less severe supposed voltage (150 instead of 450) and the actor pretending to be shocked doesn't have a full on breakdown into collapse (read the actor transcript, around 330 iirc, they bang on the wall begging to have the experiment stop).

Other fun fact, obedience isn't universal. The least obedient group as far as I remember were female Australians at only 16% participation rate. There is a much higher rate for folks living in authoritarian states, though.

  • Plus major patch releases only seem to happen after major events that make old renditions obsolete, if not downright broken and dismantled.

Although new software does have a ton of useless speghetti code.

  • ...I don't think it says what the driver was driving, and somehow that's driving me crazy. I thought to look it up because I figured it's gotta be a Tesla, but "a car" could mean any brand and another source suggests it's a fucking Nissan Pathfinder!

Reminds me that conservative fucks don't even drive EVs, it's really fucking funny to me that even this guy is driving a Japanese SUV instead of a Tesler.

  • I'm not convinced at least half of those communities trust Reddit and Discord enough to leave forums, but then again I stopped using them mostly because I haven't had time for those hobbies. My emulation groups are still active on forums, at least.

  • Was on the radio, some notes:

    1. The responsibility of FAFSA (which is 2/3 of it's budget) likely goes to Treasury and honestly I don't think they can realistically pull that back legally, at least anytime soon. Disability funds supposedly will move somewhere too.
    2. The DoE itself likely will exist in the same limbo as USAID since legally it requires Congress, and judges can and will challenge illegal moves. That said, I say limbo because USAID may have got people back but empty buildings and ongoing stuff is ruined. Expect that from DoE, even though it shouldn't be allowed.

My own info, though, is they only provide public schools about 5 to 10% budget on average, and yes, it's heavily towards rural districts. This likely will have very little impact on blue states, although don't go celebrating as budgets are already tight in several places and even blue states will cut into education to fund other things like fire relief. Our Blue states are still no where near as good as many European and Asian country educational institutions.
