  • I never played ow1 but I did enjoy OW2. One of the few multiplayer shooters where I didn't suck. However I noticed I got very frustrated by it and seemed to get addicted as well. Also noticed I enjoyed other games less. Stopped playing and feeling better now.

  • Why not free for everyone? Higher earners already pay higher and more tax. And it avoids that people wait too long before going to a GP, saving costs as well.

I'm from Europe where a GP is free for everyone and it's amazing.

  • I'd love to switch to plant based milk but I really love cheese and brie and really can't find any good plant based alternatives. Hopefully this changes with better tech. I'd jump ship immediately to lab grown dairy and meat.

  • I cycle to the train station on my way to work. It's awesome and relaxing (most parts). I drive by long lines of traffic. I really don't understand why not more people are cycling.

I live on a steep hill, so have to use an ebike.

  • Skinny Broadband 900mbps. Absolutely awesome. Support via live chat, so far always someone available immediately. Such a difference with 2degrees where I would be on hold for 45+ minutes. They even at some point lowered their prices. Highly recommended.

  • What about Chromecast Google TV 4k? I just got one and loving it. Installed Stremio and SmartTube and works great. Got a custom launcher as the default one focuses a lot on streaming services. Also tried Kodi but seems worse than my dedicated Vero 4k with OSMC / Kodi.

  • We moved into a new build 7 years ago without landscaping. I did gravel and grass around the house. However all the grass close to the house failed to grow properly due to lack of water / sun, so I dug it out a couple of years later and replaced with pebbles and pavers. For the rest I've built a deck, and got a lawn and woodchipped area.

Also good to check the quality of the soil and if there's any debris. I found out they had left the old tennis court in small chunks just below the surface.

Drainage is important too indeed. I've put in some perforated pipes. Worked well for the first couple of years, seem to be blocked more now, so in winter it's very wet.

    Fruit trees are cool too.

    Hope this helps.

  • I recently installed the Skyconnect dongle, as it's promoted by HA and it's matter ready https://www.home-assistant.io/skyconnect/

I had a lot of trouble getting devices to stay online, they kept disconnecting. After adding more router devices, ie bulbs/plugs, it seems better. I'm using ZHA, so far only one device (an IR remote blaster) wasn't compatible.

  • I've tried that, but I couldn't get it to work with the Android app as my instance is on HTTP as it's internal only. Think they solved that. Also, I'm running the docker version, so can't install add-ons.

But, without Home Assistant Cloud, and without 3d printing / custom printing, the only hardware available for voice assist is the mobile app, right? I have a Chromecast with remote, so could use Google Assistant, but I believe that requires HA Cloud.

/edit: just found this doc about GA + HA, it either requires HA Cloud, OR a publicly accessible HA instance with SSL. I have neither :D Will look into HA CLoud.
