  • If a site I have to use doesn't work for no apparent reason, I e-mail the company's Support. Let them sort it out, or provide another way I can do what I'm trying to do. Personally, I think a lot of the problems are from more and more websites integrating privacy-invading "features", and FF interfering with their operation.

  • I love katamala olives and pickles. Black olives are fine if I can't get katamala.

  • Considering the expense and the way they enable spying on users, I don't think people should be required to own a cell phone or die. Especially children. Sirens or a weather radio make a lot more sense in some situations.

  • Where I live, we've gotten alerts at 2 or 3 am because someone shot at police in a completely different city an hour or two away.

  • No problem. If that doesn't work for you, ComfyUI is also a popular option, but it's more complicated.

  • Where do you find that screen in ProtonPlus? I've never seen it. I wonder if I'm on an old version.

  • I've known many people that Americans would consider Middle Eastern who considered themselves to be African.

  • Fire works on Android and is meant to do basically the same thing. I saw someone post it in another thread, but haven't explored it in depth.

  • This is interesting. I didn't know there were so many different systems.

  • Permissions looks normal for what it does. App scanner shows no trackers, but it does seem to use Google Firebase and Google login apis. I didn't install it to look at network traffic. If anyone does, I'd be curious.

  • Based on the description elsewhere in the comments, they don't sound very similar. ProtonPlus is just a download tool that lets you see and download or delete updates for all the various versions of Proton, so you don't have to visit a bunch of different Githubs. It doesn't let you see or change which version each game is using, which it sounds like ProtonUp does.

  • Well, you're right and I'm surprised I've never thought of this before.

  • AI can generate images of things that don't even exist. If it knows what porn looks like and what a child looks like, it can combine those concepts.

  • Where I live, the local government is all at-large, so no one runs as a member of any party, but you can separate everyone into two groups of "people who want the town to provide basic services", like parks and libraries, and "people who want to keep property taxes as low as possible" by not spending money on any services.
