  • Everyone knows we blew it up. That’s why the Europeans covered it up. We attacked their infrastructure, caused a historically horrific climate disaster from it, and the cucks helped us cover it up.

But you get called a tankie on here for mentioning it.

  • While Trump’s tariffs are a disaster for economy, I’m not sure the Dems plan to escalate to WW3 would’ve had a better outcome (except for military contractors).

Democrats & Republicans are the cause of our problems. Neither can fix things, nor would they if they could.

  • Does it need to be exposed to the internet? Putting it behind a vpn would be best.

Besides that, just make sure only the users you need to have access to ssh logins, and use keys for extra hardening. Keep your system updated. Limit that system’s access to other systems on your network, so if it is compromised, they can’t use it as a pivot point for the rest of your setup.

The other commenter’s suggestion of fail2ban is also solid.

  • You’re perpetuating capitalist propaganda. Most homeless people do not have a drug problem. At least half of homeless people in the US are employed.

It’s not a drug problem. It’s an unaffordable housing problem.

  • Yes, California’s half-assed efforts have been rife with fraud and waste.

Similarly, it costs many billions more to fund our half-assed healthcare system than it would be to simply give people healthcare. Dealing with problems in a way that only attacks the symptoms is far more expensive and wasteful.

But it has been proven that guaranteeing housing is both cheaper and produces superior results.

  • Then present your data. Hell, publish your data. If you know better than the experts at HUD, and can prove it, it should be quite the boon to your career.

But you’re not wrong that band-aids for systemic problems are much more expensive than solving them.
