  • Halo 1-3

They are some of the best games ever, playing halo 1 for the first time after getting an xbox for christmas hit me like a freight train and to this day my love of fps games is in large part to the endlessly interesting tactics in halo multiplayer and how much fun I had/have learning them.

Playing a big team battle halo infinite match seems like replaying a memory I never actually had in the best way.

Still to this day even if I haven't played halo in years, I will kick your butt.

  • This is literally the most dystopian version of those two kids in your class who clearly had a crush on each other but were too shy to come out and say it to one another to the point that it became a running joke among the other students about when they were finally going to start dating.

  • Honestly if there was an award for keybindings for style in terms of the way something like the MLA style guide would describe "good style" in the context of english, Vim would easily win it. It is one of the oldest, most coherent, extendable, fast, joyful and resilient conceptions of how to manipulate text with a keyboard ever created and it is awesome how it is such a compelling idea that it no longer exists as a literal codebase at this point, but rather a style and philosophy of keybindings.

It is shockingly beautiful even if you find it annoying to use in practice (I get it).

For example, the Qutebrowser is just awesome, I don't care if you don't like vim you can't argue with the power, ease of use and minimal UI the system requires in exchange for all the control you could want for navigating web pages without needing a mouse.

The utility of vim keybindings in my opinion extends further into a lot of unexplored accessibility benefits because any vim style input scheme to a program is going to be by definition a nice limited set of inputs someone can custom map to their accessibility hardware or software to have full control over a software and they won't have to worry about needing a mouse at super annoying parts because they know that is against The Core Commandments Of Vim.

When making a custom or 3rd party controller to a software, there is always the problem of how many control inputs are you going to need, some softwares go nuts with unnecessary keybindings for silly things that becomes a nightmare to try to map a custom hardware/software controller to. Vim keybindings on the other hand well... it is the keyboard proper and that is it, boom done....

  • I mean.

On 1 July 2014, Sierra Nevada Corporation revealed that the Gorgon Stare Increment 2 pod had achieved initial operating capability (IOC) earlier in the year.[15] While the Increment 1 system, first fielded in March 2011, could cover an area of 16 km2 (6.2 sq mi), the incorporation of the ARGUS-IS expands that coverage area to 100 km2 (39 sq mi). The system has 368 cameras capable of capturing 5 million pixels each to create an image of about 1.8 billion pixels. Video is collected at a variable frame-rate per second, with the resulting data output averaging several terabytes of video output per minute.[16]

The Ukranian battlefield is a massive high resolution DAS survey waiting? to happen, the drones laying down the fiber optic cable in my opinion are the nice "two birds with one stone" benefit.

Those fields crisscrossed with fiber optic cables, well they are from a signal analysis standpoint a spiders web in that any disturbance in the microtremor wavefield is highly resolvable in terms of location and nature. Footsteps, a drone clandestinely dropping an an antitank mine, large weapon fire etc...

If you could access fiber optic cables in the vicinity of an artillery target you could determine fairly easily where exactly it fell algorithmically to a high degree of confidence. Fiber optic cables laid down for unrelated infrastructure purposes even.

I am sure I am not the first idiot to realize this shrugs the idea aggressively jumps out at you if you understand the science.

This is ambient seismology not necessarily active though a howitizer would make a mighty fine source impulse.

  • The cyberpunk thing is, if we were actually fighting in a resistance and you needed to practice flying TIE Fighters to know how to steal one or fight against them, you would probably be playing an emulator of an outdated but still very good empire TIE fighter simulator on a third party device :)

  • Gavin Newsom also has conversations with Charlie Kirk as if he was a normal well adjusted human who didn't harbor an unbelivable amount of bigotry, so yeah Newsom you are right but only because your job is to play the heel and they underlined your parts for you already in the script.
