This is an interview loop. They do that with the top few candidates - so it is unlikely you are the only one. You will speak to many people, like the hiring manager and key team members. If you are flying in for the interview, it may be for a couple of days, but the interviews are likely to be in one day. Treat this seriously and act professionally with everyone you interact with from front desk to hiring manager. They can all influence the decision. Best of luck!
I work from home and with my family, and I love what I do (it is my hobby). I don't ask our staff to work this much and I don't communicate with them outside of business hours (or after 2pm on a Friday). So, I'm not sure why this is wrong.
996 work culture isn't for everyone - or even most people. But if someone wants to start a company doing something they love and work that much, I say go for it. I started a company, albeit I only work 60/week, doing something I love and working with my family. It isn't the only way, but is the way that works for us. 🤷
I live out in the sticks, and if I don't go 70, it will take me forever to get where I need to go. Also everyone else is going 70, so the people doing 50 are creating an unsafe situation. It's the wild west out here.
Put your shoes in your tent at night so slugs don't crawl in them. Camping in a national Forest is often free. Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints.
JFC - this is horrific.
