  • the syllable "kar-" is for the angled bob the syllable "-en" is for the smoothness of her brain

  • There isn't really anything "extra" you can do at home that you aren't already supposed to be doing to maintain those mouth bones.

  • Shop around, you can frequently get discounts or cheaper rates if you tell them you're uninsured / self pay. I've had to do this during tough financial times.

There may also be some luxuries or other corners you can safely cut if you go over your budget with a fine toothed comb.

  • Disclaimer: This is not personal medical/dental advice, just my own understanding that I'm sharing.

Floss (or water pick) first, then mouthwash, then brush, then don't rinse.

Floss to open up the gums and knock loose anything stuck in between teeth. Mouthwash to get rid of the solids and get a bit of fluoride in between teeth. Brushing after mouthwash, because toothpaste typically has a much higher concentration of fluroide than mouthwash does. And avoid rinsing after brushing so you don't wash away the residual fluoride from the toothpaste.

  • The only thing I added was the first parenthetical to clarify that "dead name" was the term for the former name.

Reading "the former name of a (typically trans) person" as "the name of a deceased trans person" is still on you :/

  • heaven forbid the news coverage of an historic, record-setting event be posted more than once ever

  • I had to do a double take, I thought you said a 5 figure amount of BTC at first.

Cash it all out and shove it into a high yield savings account, or use it to increase contributions to your retirement accounts if you don't have any immediate need.

  • High chance that it's a Python programmer who is really unhappy about having to work in Java, lol

  • Pro tip: the login wall is added at the end of page load. If you tap the Esc key at the right moment to interrupt the load, you'll end up with the full article rendered without the bullshit

  • My hunch is that "average ownership lifetime" for mobile phones is MUCH lower than you or I (or anyone who is careful with their phone) probably expects. There is probably a too-big segment of the market that is trading in yearly for a newer model.

  • Not only that but the perpetrator had had a casual fling with one of the victims -- it reads like it was revenge for being rejected.

real unfortunate that someone so unstable was trusted with a gun

  • I did not edit my comment. Why are you lying?

Edit: Oh, I did edit it about 30 seconds after posting, to add the first parenthetical. Apologies for outright accusing you of lying. It doesn't display as edited on my instance when done within the first minute. But you replied 5 minutes after my edit, so I think the odds that you loaded the page within 30 seconds of my original reply are too minuscule to be super convincing.

  • Intentionally using the former name ("dead name") of a (typically trans) person with the intent to cause harm

  • Not foolproof but you can also make a bookmarklet to unbind the top-level event which can sometimes force right-click to work.

    javascript:void(document.oncontextmenu=null);

  • I double-checked the article's comments page from your instance's website, and it seems to be displaying correctly. If you are using a mobile app, you may want to consider filing a bug report with the author.

  • FYI, you probably want to make sure to use a solid pen instead of a highlighter next time you censor information. It's probably not super impactful in this case because it's from a SMS service, but the phone number at the top of the image is plainly legible.
