That's mildly concerning! There are risks associated with using less-than food-grade CO2 in beverages.

Get yourself a countertop carbonator like a Sodastream or Drinkmate.

I have a Drinkmate, and they have a CO2 cylinder exchange program where you can get a heavy discount on more cylinders by returning the empty ones beforehand (prepaid shipping label included with cylinder packs.)

Other than the initial cost of the machine and any additional cylinders you want (I have a total of five, so I can install the last one and ship back four empties for a coupon, but that's probably a little overkill for one person), the ongoing cost is reasonable. I make 1-2L of soda water pretty much every day and I get a little over a month out of each cylinder. Works out to less than $15 a month for me.

It's not "starting" Sep 15, the arbitration agreement was in effect in their previous ToS as well. If you were an existing Etsy user at the time of that ToS your 30-day opt-out period has already passed.

New users still have a 30-day opt-out period as well (see sections G and H.)

From Windows 10 on, the default is to automatically restart when you're not using it, which can be annoying if you've got a complex workspace going and then everything gets closed overnight

You can pause Windows update for a little over a month at a time so that you're not surprised by any automatic restarts, FYI

It has the possibility to be like anything else, I cannot say whether it is or not. but it's more that I would prefer to move in a direction towards people thinking more critically about the news they consume, and MBFC is offering to shortcut that process, which I don't like

I like the concept Ground News claims to be going for, which is just listing all the different media outlets reporting on a story so that the reader can do what they will with the additional context. I'm not as OK with media bias fact check, and if Ground News is trying to integrate it in some way on their service, I don't think that's good either. the whole point of Ground News seemed to me to be trying to explicitly NOT tell the reader what to think about a given article, and MBFC would undermine that IMO

Not that it justifies or excuses anything at all, but I definitely think there's a pipeline from the, like, Joe Rogan / Andrew Tate segment of the toxic manosphere that leads down this path. There are probably opportunities to save some of these people before their craving for attention leads them to hate
