  • The problem with regulating unhealthy food is that it is likely to jack up the price of the only affordable option for a lot of people. Maybe something like subsidizing and lowering cost of healthier foods to make them more affordable instead would be good.

  • Some incursions are benign, such as those involving people who say they are following Google Maps to direct them to the nearest McDonalds or Burger King, which happens to be on a nearby military base. Others appeared to be more troubling, people familiar with the review said.

That is a pretty brazen approach bordering on comedy. Also TIL sensitive American military bases have hotels and restaurants open to the public.

  • Is tech/internet literacy in general taught in schools the way media literacy used to be? i am guessing it is not.

  • Definitely better, you can actually inspect the thing and see its real condition - also no pressure, you can easily walk away.

  • Sorry. You're right, these aren't imaginary or hypothetical. They probably have thought out the practicalities, which is even scarier.

  • This seems more like a scare tactic than anything (I hope).

This is like one of DeSantis' moronic toilet bills. How could you even enforce it?

Stop every car going in and out of state and making everyone take a pregnancy test... and if they were, then what? Send them back? What the crap is this, how imaginary and hypothetical are these right wing legislations going to go?

  • Who started the patriarchy as a conspiracy to make men look bad? WOMEN! Ergo, who benefits most from patriarchy? WOMEN! It all makes sense, case closed!!

(i am just trying to imagine their logic here)

  • Ill have to check them out. I bought a cast iron lodge years ago (and I ended up wrecking it, hehe) but it was great while it lasted. Didnt know they did enameled stuff!

  • Man, very helpful! Thank you. :)

  • Oh man, I wish I could afford these. I always cheap out with cookware and it never lasts.

But until I can afford the real thing, does anyone have any recommendations for decent knock-offs or imitations?

  • More like a collaborator. Not to be dramatic but he is personally amplifying their message and influence.

  • No, disinformation is a definitely thing. Its a cheap and easy way to weaken democratic societies.

While the mainstream media definitely have a bias and tend to de-emphasize certain stories, (that are anti-capitalist, mostly) to say disinformation isnt real, or to say stories (like "russiagate") get labelled as disinformation only because "they dont want you to know the truth" ... that is in fact disinformation. Im sorry.

  • Same, I am waiting for this. I can only imagine the mods, it's pretty exciting honestly. (But also because I am too cheap for any $70 game)

  • People are getting pretty spicy with the responses. OP was just underwhelmed by a game getting a lot of hype. Like lots of people are going to like it, but not everyone. I think theyre just trying to generate discussion, not say "everyone who likes starfield is an CHUMP!!" or something.
