  • What chronic pain condition do you suffer from? I've got a degenerative disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis that causes me a lot of pain. I might have some tips for working from home if you have similar symptoms.

  • This is what I sometimes feel as someone who isn't from the USA, a bit alienated from the discourse online. Our politics is more boring so it can be hard to understand the cultural wars unless you are a huge USA-phile who follows the world news extremely closely.

Edit: Like right-wing people here mainly have a reputation for being wankers as opposed to "nazis" or anything else dangerous. Makes it hard to understand the apocalyptic rhetoric sometimes but we'd probably behave the same if we thought our democracy was in danger.

  • It takes a while to get used to the new house after you move in. You are hyper aware of little things that you might have missed during viewings, mainly due to being responsible for maintaining it now. I remember being alarmed by floorboards creeking while I went to the bathroom one night after moving in. It's almost like learning a new musical instrument or something.

That said, you do settle in after a few weeks. Our settling in was delayed slightly by a leak to the shop downstairs which turned out to be the exit pipe for the whole block (so not so bad) but took a while to get to the bottom of. Now, it's been more than 2 years and I'm not sure where the time went.

My advice would be to try and avoid the temptation of leaving boxes around unpacked. Getting everything stored away correctly will make you feel at home much faster.

  • The whole "le wrong generation" thing is kind of a fallacy because being alive now allows you to enjoy all the pop culture that has gone before and today's pop culture too. We're in a win-win situation being alive now.

  • I've had slight scoliosis all my life due to being very tall and having multiple growth spurts in my teens. That has bothered me in the mornings pretty much since I was 16. Last year, I started getting increased pain around my pelvis which eventually got diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis, associated with another diagnosis of Ankylosing Spondylitis. I'm 32 now and doing physiotherapy in order to keep flexible, the exercises seem to be a subset of pilates, also been prescribed dicofenac which is like a stronger version of ibuprofen which works well.

Blacking out from pain doesn't sound normal. I've got a degenerative disease diagnosis and have never blacked out - although I have had days where I've struggled to move.

  • Trump wasn't giving him the policies/legislation he was asking for that would put his businesses at an advantage. Additionally Elon was unhappy with the tarrifs. Lastly, they both have large and delicate egos.
