  • There's no drama like FOSS drama.

Agree with the other comments here saying that not everything in life should be viewed through the prism of politics. Civilised society is comprised of people putting their differences aside to work together on various endeavours.

  • Leaving Las Vegas is genuinely devastating and that was his 90s peak.

He does recapture some of that magic in a recent one called Pig but that film benefited from a bait and switch marketing where they implied it would be like John Wick but was actually completely different.

  • Social media is designed to override your critical thinking faculties.

Human beings aren't evolved to get news/information from such a wide variety of sources at such a fast rate. Your critical thinking faculties just get overrun.

Everyone has experienced this and accidentally shared an article from The Onion or whatever without noticing in the short term that they are responding to some kind of bias being confirmed.

  • I'm a bona fide alpha male. Imagine Joe Rogan but more buff and with additional BDE. When I talk everyone listens. I was the star of every sports team I've been part of. I can lift a motocycle above my head and then ride off into the sunset on it.

Usually posting fit-pics on insta but I accidentally clicked a link and ended up here.

  • I'm not religious or spiritual so I'm a pure hedonist. I work so that I can maintain a comfortable life for my wife and I with vacations and other treats. In my 30s but not very interested in having children; might be tempted to adopt in my 40s but will need to see where I am at that point in my life.

Essentially the goal is to be happy as a clam (that is a strange phrase now I consider it). It would be nice to author something to leave my name for future generations but I kind of get that from contributing to open source projects when I get the chance.

  • I loved Linux Voice back when it was still published. They had a series of articles on writing your own kernel in x86_64 ASM that I followed and ran on QEMU back when I was a philosophy student. It really cemented my interest in tech and now I do that for a living.

Edit: Linux Voice folded into Linux Format sometime around 10+ years ago
