  • The real criticism of this plan is that whether you assassinate Hitler or just prevent his birth, it doesn't solve the societal problems that led to the world wars. Hitler wouldn't have happened, but the Germans would still feel snubbed by the outcome of the Great War

  • Time is a one-way linear progression, you can't go back in the first place. Any fictional story where time travel happens necessarily has its own rules, and every one is equally valid

  • Hey mathematicians, is this a good universal way to communicate number bases? I think y'all would call it 1111111111โ‚ or something like that

Fun tangent, on my hands that would be 1023 because I count in binary on my fingers

  • The virgin USB: hey, uh, when you get a chance, uh, if it's not too much trouble, could you, uh, put an 'e' there? Whenever you get the chance is fine

The chad PS/2: THE USER SAID E.

  • You would think the fact that literally every single woman who has ever had medical care has had their problems ignored would get people more engaged in making doctors take women more seriously

  • I used to be a kennel worker, met thousands of cats over the years. Never once met a cat who did not adapt to being indoor only within a month

  • Fr, all these sparrows do is eat our crops. What could possibly go wrong if we kill all of them?

  • Bro someone send this chart to Australia, they can win EW2

  • countries that don't really have dangerous wildlife

cats have been allowed outside for over 1000 years

Sounds like your country does have dangerous wildlife, you just like the predator more than the prey

  • Zoos don't keep domesticated animals. The physical requirements are not the same, domestic cats are perfectly fine indoors as long as you give them any amount of stimulation. Zoos definitely don't let their tigers out in public unattended

  • Never thought I would live to see the day that what used to be a contemporary episode of Doctor Who would have to be viewed as if it was a time travel episode

  • So anyway

  • You are correct, but implying something is not the same as literally stating something

  • More reasonably, "wet" is often used as an adjective describing something that is liquid. Wet paint is, of course, wet.

  • How is that a counter source? It's just another definition of the word. Words can mean multiple things.

  • No, and it takes a profound level of disingenuousness to bring the argument to this point. You must understand that the meanings of words are socially constructed, not aspects of physical reality. Usage is literally what determines the definitions of words.

  • I used a dictionary to demonstrate that that is a way that people use the word. I never said they don't matter, I said it's irrelevant that some dictionaries don't include my definition.
