I'm also an atheist, have been for a long time. I also hate getting lumped in with these dbags. I could try to formulate a well-reasoned argument for why we shouldn't admonish religious people, but you cannot reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into, and the performative kind of hate that people like Lovable Sidekick have towards all religious beliefs and practices is not founded on reason.
I cannot convince Lovable Sidekick to stfu, because they do not care about the effect they have on our image, they care about people knowing they're an atheist. I might convince other atheists to stfu, by making fun of the insufferable ones.
There is nothing in the post to indicate how long the employee has been working there
Again, "she told me the week before that I had no empathy." I suppose it's possible that this employee said that before they were hired, but it really seems to indicate to me that she's worked that for at least a week. Maybe as little as 4 days, if she said it Friday and was sacked Monday.
I didn't think I'd find myself walking through my interpretation of a story on LinkedIn, but here we are
She told me the week before that I had no empathy
We know the employee has worked there for at least a week.
I knew from the first day she wasn't right.
She turned up late. No message. No apology. That tiny red flag that I tried to overlook because I wanted to give her a chance.
It's possible Nicky means the first day after being told she has no empathy, but the talk about wanting to give the employee a chance tells me that it's referring to that employee's first day on the job, which we know was over a week ago.
Given a lack of any other details about the employee's various wrongdoings, I'm led to believe that being late was the most egregious thing she did. Ergo, fired for being late over a week ago.

I would like this feature, if there was any customizability. Let me set my own limit, and let me change it per device (headphones should have limits, speakers shouldn't)
I'm glad all my friends are playing the finals instead. Skins are secondary to gameplay, just like it should be
My only gripe is that VRs are hella slow to earn. But at least you can't just swipe a credit card to buy them, and the game is fun enough that earning them isn't a slog
It's a pretty neat trap, you see I can't afford to take any time off work to even look for another job, let alone any unpaid training
I'm sure if I locked the fuck in and pulled myself up by my bootstraps and got extremely lucky, I could jump ship into a better position, but that target is like 5 feet wide and a hundred feet away and surrounded by homelessness on all sides
That is for sure a thing, but in my case it genuinely is having little income
Been making minimum wage for way too long, and at this point I'm too old and don't have the skills to get a significantly better job. My retirement plan is
Yeah wtf jobs is she getting where she builds up a safety net in 1-2 years? I've been at this shit for a decade and have 3 digits in my bank account
Edit: I should disclose the fact that I have been making minimum wage this whole time. That said, most people I know make nearly average wages, and still have 3-4 digits in their bank accounts at all times
That was basically my exact response when someone made the comparison. Ostensibly though, the idea is that you get a random result in your happy meal, and it's designed to encourage you to buy more to collect them all. If the only difference is in the reality of being able to essentially bribe the House, then I don't see a meaningful distinction.
I guess we're dating now. Lemme know next time you're in Kansas so we can catch a movie or something
