  • I don't plan to vandalize private property. Pointing out what is the intended effect.

And regardless of political ideology what is happening to Tesla or any other brand receiving the same vitrol deters me from plans to buy them. Basically it's radioactive to "we don't like to talk about politics" crowd. Which is the average buyer.

  • Future sales is what increases stock. Including perceived future sales. Big example now is BYD and how stock has risen in anticipation of countries not being able to keep them out forever while ramping up production alongside improved battery tech.

There's a big reason why most companies are incredibly protective of their brand image and traditionally have CEOs keep as much of a blank slate as possible. Most companies pivot towards being faceless with a replaceable CEO as opposed making the CEO their mascot for this reason. It can lead to a huge target on them if things go sour.

  • I do not understand how damaging my car is supposed to help your cause.

The fear you have for your car purchase is the point.

It's not about changing ideologies or convincing people to change their politics or protecting owners who feel they are on the right side and should be spared.

It's about having future buyers have to weigh whether the risk of vandalism, negative affiliations assumed of them, and insurance increases is worth buying the brand.

Unfortunate, but actions that result in indiscriminate collateral damage is what tends to actually have the intended impact. Which in this case seems to be to taint the Tesla brand as a risky one.

  • PS4 was when I switched to PC for a majority of my games except exclusives. I refused to pay for PS+ to play online, since I enjoyed my free online on the PS3 the past Gen.

Picked up a long hdmi cable back then so I could enjoy the couch gaming experience when I felt like it. So that stopped being a selling point for consoles for my use case.

  • There was a time they played without helmets and

Between 1965 and 1969, more than 100 players at all levels died of brain injuries, an average of about 20 per year—about the same number as died in 1905, but from brain injuries alone.

So it's just a stupid sport to begin with whether there is padding or not due to the whole bashing into each other from opposite ends every single play.

  • Yep lot of sports streams I've seen straight up don't have commercials and goes to dead air during breaks, since they aren't streaming regular broadcast channels.

Really nice ones switch to stadium cameras during breaks so showing what's going on with the crowd and arena.

  • Thing is even if people are in queue with the intention of scalping with multiple IDs or whatever the nice part of a queue system is that all you have to do is wait for your queue to come up.

When I put in my queue for evga and steam deck I just forgot about it until my time came up months later. Didn't have to keep refreshing or wait in line or care about stock.

That's the beauty of queue for people who care less about getting it immediately but that they can guarantee themselves one without having to actively search the product out.

  • Why don't more companies do what Steam did with Steam Deck or Evga used to do of putting people in a queue so they can buy without having to fight scalpers at brick and motor stores or bots online?

It has been the best system I've experienced, since whether it takes days, weeks, or months I know that when my time comes I can buy my product without having to beat out other people.

  • They may not be politicians but they spend money to get themselves into positions of political power as these few days have shown with Musk. And these people get most of their power from the masses that are dumb enough and bigoted enough to be swayed by a shared common hatred of groups to scapegoat for everything.

  • Biggest problem of Nintendo systems has been how the prices of games just don't fall at the same rate. So even if the console is cheap price quickly goes past the the lifetime cost of Sony or PC even if the initial cost for both systems are higher.

  • Never because I'm cheap and also I don't want to pay a premium for a buggy unoptimized experience. Even when I had the game pass trial I didn't play games day 1, since games needed several patches to be acceptable.
