The past few months to a year or so we’ve seen a total restructure of the internet. Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube have been actively scaring away their user bases.

It’s resulting in a split and divided internet. Like the days of old. Fediverse ActivityPub integration is the only thing that can undo that and revive these all-in-one style communications platforms.

I’m curious to see if it will be better or worse.

Except they don't need consumers.

If the purpose of AI is to automate all parts of the economy, the economy becomes functionally useless. All they need to do is sit back and relax.

The one thing they're not accounting for is the droves of poor, starving angry people who aren't just going to all decide to die quietly.

Just when I was hoping to see some fan games start popping up, we're gonna get Spyro 4: It's about Slime or whatever. And they'll probably lock it behind their stupid blizzard launcher and it will be console exclusive before it makes it to pc etc. etc.

I'm done. I loved Spyro, but it's time to let a dead franchise rest in peace.

We really need more browser engines floating around.

As of now we really only have 3, Webkit, Firefox Gecko, and Chromium Blink.

Everything is based on these 3. And I know, technically chromium and firefox are both based on webkit, but they're so far gone from webkit they function as their own engines.
