  • I think that it's more of a type of content issue rather than the method of learning.

    Think online university lecture vs a random dude doing crazy experiments on YouTube

    Sure, the lecture covers more content and does it in a more comprehensive way, but you will probably still learn some stuff from the crazy YouTube dude

  • My Hansen razor, bought it over a year ago because the cheap plastic safety razor got too annoying to use and I remembered the ad.

    Didn't spend extra for the titanium version and got the aluminium instead.

    It's not my main way of shaving since I bought an electric shaver few months ago to do it in less than 5 minutes in the morning, but I have kept it for when I want to actually get everything shaved and the large pack of blades should last me a decade with my usage

  • Also, at least here in Japan, some of the houses use LP gas and some of those are just a large propane tank outside of the house that a company replaces on a schedule.

    I guess that's a subscription too

  • I mean, there are things that you are just more interested in than others.

    Tinkering with electronics and coding some kind of "complicated" method of cheating for some people would be way easier than studying, especially if the cheating is through something that already is your hobby.

    I can work on my motorcycle and fix various things for hours and not mind a thing, but if you ask me to study a chapter from my production management textbook, I'm going to complain all the way
