It's no point arguing with you. You are not getting my point. Did Amrit Pal not incite violence? Did he not make provocative statements about other communities? Chasing him while cutting internet, detaining protesters etc. is a violation of human rights but it's NOT targeting Sikhs on any scale by government.

That's a theme in politics of India. There have been hindu PMs in mosques too. You can't call facts government propaganda.

1. India had a Sikh PM for 10 years from 2004-2014 under the UPA government. (Same party's government which was responsible for the 1984 Sikh killings.)
2. The article mentions the internet blackout in Punjab to catch Amrit Pal who is a proven radical spewing hate speech:

(i) Targeting the christian community

(ii) Vandalisng Gurudwaras

and many other speeches he gave advocating violence and making threatening statements about not having seen true violence.

3. Additionally, Punjab is not a specific target for internet blackout, it's quite a bad situation around the country.

You mentioned knowing Sikhs in India. I am related to a business which has a sizeable Sikh participation. We eat with them, sleep alongside them and my father used to stay at Gurudwaras back in the day. I will never defend the government in their cause of suppression of any community. It's just that the international opinion is highly skewed on this.

In summary, no the Indian government is not actively ostracizing Sikhs.(Violent secessionists, yes) It's not imposing hindi or anything of that effect.
