  • Commercial vehicles are still fine if you can tolerate it. Might be the best option in 15 years if nothing else. I have a '19 transit van and it has no way of phoning home, the only infotainment is the one I installed. I haven't researched too deeply but I assume the transit connect line is similar and if it is I'm considering making one my next personal vehicle.

  • If it was intentional I don't think he would choose this venue. Trump has gotta be so pissed at him for stealing the media spotlight and making him look bad.

Fundamentally I don't think he thinks of himself as a neo-nazi whether or not he functionally is one. And I don't think he's bold enough for a dog whistle this blatant even if he does.

  • He did put on a weird stank face when he did it. He thought he was doing something but I don't think he was aiming for nazi salute. He's happy to trigger the libs over it but I think in the moment it was somewhere between the weird jump he did on stage and the ketamine putting enough holes in his brain that he thought this was a normal 'my heart goes out to you all' gesture.

  • They said invested, not 'put in a checking account and drawn down'. Even 5% returns would be 50k annually, which is already more than the median individual income. Actual return on the S&P 500 for the last 25 years has been around 8%.

  • Unless you mean like a cafe or restaurant that also happens to have live music sometimes not really. It's not really financially viable. A 50-200 person venue that doesn't serve alcohol and only has shows during the day is not a niche that exists.

  • Architecturally sure but zoning wise probably not. I can actually sympathize with nimbys in this scenario, locked into a mortgage next door to a church vs next door to a music venue with a liquor license are two totally different scenarios.

  • Hurry

    Jump
  • And you can see it referenced in absolutely every anime that has an excuse to have a giant skeleton. Hell there is a show airing currently that references it in the official promo poster or whatever it's called. Once you notice it you can never stop seeing it.

  • Frankly incredible that the NEC isn't requiring this in all new editions yet. Absurdly short sighted. Like, it's just 1 circuit to a garage if a garage is present. All the yokel states can refuse to adopt that section if they want, whatever.

  • Lmao. If you ever worked in construction you'd know that 1. code compliance is not that hard 2. you do not want the random contractor chucklefucks making it up on the fly without a sanity check from the inspector. Be glad your house doesn't burn down because knob and tube isn't code compliant.

*Also, you can absolutely build a small cheap house that is code compliant. The reason nobody does is because banks dont want to lend for it and builders want the better margins that come with a larger more upscale house.

  • Oh so not really even your home circuits then. Just get something like a jackery, ecoflow, or bluetti. I've had a bluetti and ecoflow and recommend an ecoflow product. If you really really wanted to you could power an in wall circuit with one but it would be pretty jank.

  • Weird how people aren't talking about the major shortcomings of the democratic candidate anymore. I wonder why that might be.

If Kamala was anti trans rights you'd be sitting here like "why doesnt anyone talk about trans rights anymore, those damned russians at it again". No, it's tablestakes that the right is awful. You're on a left leaning platform, most people here oppose the genocide. Obviously there was going to be vocal pushback on how your candidate sucked on an issue that basic.

  • Why would you pass up on the free money of selling the power? You're probably looking for a hybrid system if you just want to keep the lights on during a service outage. Or I guess you can just build an off grid system and wire it to a generator transfer switch if you want to power your house circuits but only during an outage.

Most half decent solar installers can help either way.
