[Beta] This is the only Lemmy client I'm using so it may be a sitewide issue, but is anyone else getting threads from 2-3 years ago mixed in with the other results when sorting by "Hot"?

  • One tip I read was to sort by Top for the past 6 or 12 hours. That will kinda give you a more traditional “Hot” post timeline and prevent you from seeing the old posts or the same posts all day.

  • There’s also a lot of timing and luck involved. A lot of my big life milestones have been a combination of the things I could control and the right timing of things that weren’t under my control or influence. Things can go differently no matter how perfect you re-do something if the circumstances surrounding it are different. Now if in this hypothetical situation, everything else outside my sphere of influence happens the same way, then yes I would definitely do some things differently.

  • Keepass. Bitwarden for more convenience.

  • Is faster. I don't care about the extra bells and whistles, and I want a straightforward functioning system that allows me to do what I need to do. I also like that I can customize my desktop experience to my heart's desires. I can literally change the way my system looks if I get bored of it. Most importantly, the lack of tracking/telemetry and being a smaller target on the web.

  • You can start with a midi controller keyboard for less than $200. It doesn’t have its own sound and you’ll need a laptop or ipad and software to actually play, but at least you won’t blow hundreds of dollars just to pick up a hobby. A full weighted keyboard will be a little more expensive though and can hit $300+.
