  • The use as a complimwnt or insult has changed over time.

It was once a positive about being yourself (unique).

Then it conservatives used it to refer to someone thinking they were special.

Then it was used to mean someone who melted at any criticism, generally referring to conservatives who thought they were special because they 'know something everyone else didn't' (Qanon morons).

When conservatives all someone a snowflake and when people call conservatives snowflakes the insults are slightly different.

  • All unique snowflakes are still snowflakes.

Also, snowflakes are not unique, which should be obvious to anyone who understands large numbers.

  • When it comes to the current insult, It is a combination of both.

They think they are special because they know something everyone else doesn't (the basis of rhe whole Qanon bullshit), but are also fragile because they can't handle being called out for being terrible people.

  • AI-enabled is the new "smart" bullshit. I wonder what the next buzzword will be.

  • They make up a minority, which is why higher voter turnout equates to Dems winning snd Republicans keep trying to suppress the vote.

  • Yes its sudo-flix, a piracy app hosted on github. It probably wil indeedl be taken down like popcorn time, that nintendo emulator, and a bunch of other things. Wouldn’t surprise you if they ended up on radicle, or codeberg, or I2P or something? I agree.

    I made this.

  • I watched several videos today on Firefox with ublock origin and no issues. Haven't run into issues with ads yet.

  • But they haven't threatened to undercut ad blocking yet, so as a comparison they are better.

  • Citizens United equated spending money with free speech, meaning regulations and laws about campaigns don't really apply. Without Citizens United, the PAC doing this wouldn't exist and anyone doing this thing would be subject to the campaign laws that Citizens United and the follow up decisions neutered.

  • It is legal because of the bullshit Citizens United ruling.

  • Being factual and having an agenda are two separate things.

  • You are saying the same thing that I am on how it should work, but in my experience any office that says that they are a family tends to be the manipulating, toxic parts of families.

  • They are called the National Women's Defense League. That is a name which screams "conservatives pretending to be a positive non-profit while actually just promoting propaganda".

The fact that they are hiding their founders and support and their choice of what to focus on also aligns with that approach.

  • Doesn’t matter if I think they are a piece of shit or awesome. We each have skills required to get the job done, and we use them together to do it.

I am of the same opinion, but sadly a ton of people have to like you before they will just do their damn job. Bunch of petty assholes.

  • The office "family" gets in the way of clear and honest communication by guilt tripping anyone who disagrees by treating them like someone who upset grandma at Thanksgiving. It has always been counterproductive in my experience.

  • I had a friend who I worked with and then lived together. But we were friends first who happened to share a job.

  • After a few decades of working my default is to avoid making close connections with coworkers outside of work because of the trouble it can cause at work. I don't want to be at work in the first place, why make more trouble when I can instead just be professional and get along with everyone in the context of the work itself?

  • I haven't laughed that hard at conservatives in a long time, good times.

  • If copyright had a reasonable duration, a huge chunk of that would have been public domain and not an issue.
