Hmm... will read your comments after finishing the game, but yeah after playing Act 1 and 2, I don't have high hopes for the ending.

I haven't played any Star Ocean game, Second Story R is rated pretty highly, but I am wondering if I should play the first one first. They remade that before Second Story R, and while it isn't considered bad, it didn't get the same level of praise.

Oh, I loved Odyssey, if you didn't enjoy it too much, going with Cyberpunk might be a better option, if you are an RPG fan it seems to be a must play (though I still haven't played it myself, but it's pretty high on my list). You can always come back to DK if you think you'll enjoy it, after seeing the reviews.

EU made iPhone have proper USB C port, instead of proprietary stuff

It can probably do something about this too. I think USB C rule was only for phones so may not directly apply to Switch, but they can make Nintendo fix it.

New Switch 1 version is $70, unless on sale, so with $10 upgrade it becomes $80.

Buying on sale is a good option though.

What's the Pirate Software fiasco?

I think I saw them mention winter 2025, so shouldn't slip to next year, but could be incorrect messaging, with meaning this fiscal year. Let's see.

I was putting Hyrule Warriors in September too, but as picandocodigo mentioned above it has "winter" release date.

So could be an empty September or we may get Metroid Prime. Since we don't have any info about Air Riders, I don't think it can be a September release. But I agree, in my mind Metroid seems like their big game for December.

Just curious, but does this coming to Xbox Series X/S means people can play it on ALL the Xboxes? Like the Rog Ally, The Meta Quest etc. As much as that branding is confusing, if this is true, then that's pretty cool.

It's just a start of generation. You can always wait a few years to see if it's worth getting the console.

TotK definitely improves upon everything in BotW, but that doesn't mean BotW isn't a masterpiece on it's own.

doomcanoe has explained it well, I think for you, BotW is the way to go.

Though, just to be clear, you can't go wrong with either option. It's like choosing between two of my favourite ice cream flavours and I can only have one. 😀

Looks like a nice cozy game. But difficult to tell if it will be good or boring.

Edit: It has 89% positive rating on Steam, though only around 350 reviews, so not a big sample size.

Yeah, DK Bananza is my day-1 buy, but I was hoping for the next 3D Mario this year or next.
