Are you using it? Have been meaning to get it for a little while.

Yeah, I haven't played many of their games, but loved what I have played. Looking forward to Gothic 1 remake.

Yeah, it was the release of the third game that pushed me to finally get the first one 😀

I agree about your point about ending, but I don't think they will be doing XCX2, let's see.

Also agree about the final boss, I had Ares 70 but even that is super over powered.

I have AI: The Somnium Files, may start that on Switch 1 after I have finished HK Massacre / Salt & Sanctuary. Not a pure VN, but close enough for me.

Yeah, after 10 years of cliffhanger, pretty much anything they do wouldn't have compared to theories people had.

For my next RPG I am looking for more of a western RPG, maybe something like Risen. Well, have other games to play first.

The only good point was sticks aren't soldered this time. Rest of the design seems overly complicated. Though, I don't really know much about these things.

It's interesting that both this and Mario Kart: World originally started as Switch 1 games, and only later they decided to move to Switch 2.

They had already announced that it won't work for Switch 2 games, so I thought they have already finished the service.

Surprised that we still have for a few more months. May buy one more, for some of the Switch 1 games that I haven't played it.

Heh, no worries. It happens. Don't know how many times I couldn't get anything to work, and then when I try to show it to someone it would auto-magically work properly.

Can you update your post add that it's fixed. Would let others know that it's resolved.

I played it 2-3 years ago, and yeah, it still holds up pretty well.

Well, you can just load the last save if lives drop below 3 or something, but yeah, feels like a bit of cheating. Though, at my age I am just happy to finish the game. Don't have the skills to properly complete these old-school games now.

One thing you can do is use save states to save your game and then load that when needed.

The way I did was to only make a save when each level started, to give me unlimited continues, but still get the experience of playing the original game. I would also set a threshold of allowing 2-3 deaths (depending on how many lives I have left) before loading the save.

I did cheated on this a couple of times when I got stuck, but that's a separate topic.

Xbox has announced that some of it's games will be $80 now. The Outer Worlds 2 is the first one but more will continue.

Sony and other third party publishers haven't announced any price increase yet though, it is expected by many people that most of them will make the jump within an year or so, but since they haven't done it yet, we can't count them.

Assuming you are serious, this is a bit of exaggeration, but when compared to other games, you can say that. Their digital games go for about 30% sale at max, but that is also very rare. Though some games have more sales than others.

Physical on the other hands have different amount of sales, depending on retailers.

This is only for their first party games though, third party games regularly go on sale, and generally have similar (but not always same) pricing as other consoles.

Hmm... will read your comments after finishing the game, but yeah after playing Act 1 and 2, I don't have high hopes for the ending.

I haven't played any Star Ocean game, Second Story R is rated pretty highly, but I am wondering if I should play the first one first. They remade that before Second Story R, and while it isn't considered bad, it didn't get the same level of praise.
