  • wouldn't you need to do 'hail sized pea, hail sized baseball' etc? otherwise you are comparing the size of hail to other objects, rather than other objects to hail

  • how the tables have turned. We went from using Malaria to 'cure' STDs (syphilis), and now we're using STDs to get rid of Malaria

  • No one is excusing an affair. People are merely trying to help OOP navigate an emotionally complex situation: wanting to keep contact with their father despite the circumstances, and wondering if their mother's actions are justifiable or not.

You can do whatever you want, but that does not absolve you of consequences.

I only gave you genuine advice, taking breaks/disengaging is helpful. I cannot force you, ofcourse, there's only so much I can do.

So please consider above, and have a nice day

  • If you are this allergic to nuance, I recommend staying away from threads that require logical/rational breakdowns of heavily-emotional topics.

You can't just jump the gun (having fun blowing up families) about someone just because they answered OOPs question in an impartial manner.

So if you seriously cannot engage with this topic without resuming to attacks, I implore you to take a step back, reasess, and move on to something else.

  • but there are arguments

  • "better detailed" doesn't necessarily mean "better art" ...

Art being fidel to reality is it's own subset of art movement, called realism. Many people appreciate it as "wow this is so close to real life/so much effort", but then if you ask people what they think the greatest artworks are they might bring any artist. Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Dalí, Picasso, Pollock, etc.

So no, just because something is closer to real life does not make it "objectively the best art" in the broader sense of art. Maybe you can measure that when pit against other realism pieces, which sre not as faithful to real life.

  • I suppose it depends on the building, where I went to vote (and most places i've seen in live coverages) just had plain blueish curtains

    1. 1 is also nice, every other choice is heresy.
  • A vehicle is defined as something used to transport people and/or goods.

So yes, a bicycle is a vehicle. Arguably legs/the body are also a vehicle for you.

  • Sounds like something an alpha would say

  • I mean, people can simultaneously realise the gravity of this, AND poke fun at the coincidence thst the Pope died after meeting JD Vance.

You aren't contributing much either by making an entire comment criticising those people. Why not ignore and move on and make an useful comment?

It's also okay to not have something important or ground-breaking to say. I don't think people saying JD killing him are ruining the internet.

  • I see. I thought they landed in Colombia but were sent back to the U.S.

    Thank you for the clarification

  • So he saw these people were transported like cattle, dehydrated and mistreated, and instead of letting them get off the planes, he's sent them back in those same planes so he can retrieve them with normal planes?

Unless I am missing something, I feel like you'd want those people to not fly in a plane like that again.

Either the plane didn't take off in the first place, case in which rejecting it would make sense.

Or those planes landed in Colombia, then sent back so they can be brought in proper planes, extending the suffering for no reason.
