I just listened to an audiobook of the same name. They pronounced it "Air-ee-odd-knee". But I actually like the pronunciation "Are-ee-odd-neigh" better. Emphasis on the "odd" in both cases.
I stick the bottom of my earlobe into my ear. It's just a nervous tick I have had my whole life. But I've also noticed recently that I really like how cool my earlobe feels and maybe that's part of the reason I do it.
Showing my age here, but I'd pick Ocarina of Time as the first game I feel like I had a profound reaction to. At the end of the game, when you defeat Ganon and save the princess, how does she reward you? by sending you back in time to be a kid again. I mean, I understand that it was supposed to be a gift, but it just felt like it was erasing the heroics that you had done for her and the entire kingdom of Hyrule.
Second, I would pick God of War (2018). As a father, that game knew exactly what to do to reel me in and make me care about the characters.
Sounds like projecting. If everyone you encounter in the south is this way, you might want to look inward about why you see people that way.
I have lived all over the US and most people I encounter in the south are some of the most genuinely kind and good people around regardless of your skin color or lifestyle. If your experience has been otherwise, it might be time to look at your own attitude in general.
Sure, there are the bad apples, but they exist everywhere. It's funny how people get such a hard on for hate these days. And by funny, I mean sad.
I hate my commute. It's only 20 minutes but I can easily do my job from home, so going into the office half the time is a waste of my time. And i work 10 hour days, so having to drive into the office turns it into an 11 hour day. Plus, traffic is not great. The cost of gas is a pain. The only positive is I can listen to audiobooks on the way. I've heard some good ones. My most recent favorite was the Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson.
Hint: they won't admit it even then. Sunk Cost Fallacy. Those people have put too much into their effort to believe something incorrect that they cannot admit defeat at all costs, even their lives. They could literally be on fire and would still say they are right.
The buildup to this movie was basically the perfect storm. And boy did it deliver. I doubt Marvel will ever be this good again. And actually, the fact that their trying to make every movie now an "Avengers" movie is exactly the reason it's going downhill, in my opinion. Feels like almost every recent Marvel movie (Black Panther 2, Ant-Man Quantumania, Black Widow), they all have to be huge wars with multiple superheroes coming in to save the day. They cant just make a smaller scale superhero movie anymore. There have been a few exceptions, like Shang-Chi, and that one was way better. Avengers Endgame was so amazing in theaters because it was made on a decade of buildup.
