Can we fucking not? Seriously, what's the point behind war and this shit? Isn't there bigger problems that we can throw money at? Fuck.

I'm the only one in my friend group who likes to try new messaging apps. The best I've done is bridge everything into matrix and try and get them on there.... None of them have moved.

I have mixed feelings towards this entire season so far. I'll say this is one of the better ones for sure but something seems off.

I didn't not enjoy the covid ep, the entire back story to Santa changed, etc, etc. It's all been said before but it still feels different.

Mine was "deleting" a LARGE log file at 3am when I was oncall to clear up some disk apace and not getting that space back.

At the time I has no idea why and went into panic mode because the disk was 98% full and growing. Damn software kept the file open and was spamming the same line at least millions of times. After that I spent the tine to learn about common issue, inodes were one of them.

If work gets done, why do you care what I have on, where I work, what I'm doing during my day? Sure, SOME people can't be trusted, call them out with some metrics, say they're doing less work at home, ASK them if something the problem! "You good Jane? Your wellbeing is important to us at $GetYourAssInTheOffice and we'd like to help if we can" and if they still can't be trusted, fire them. We All have our problems, we all make mistakes and need help some time.

I double NAT. My ISP box gives off WiFi for consoles, guests, some IOT. UPNP is enabled and I generally don't care what goes on there.

My FW is an OPNSense box and everything I do is behind that. I've opened ports, run Tailscale, etc and have had no problems at all. All it is is an extra device to open a NAT rule in if I want to open something up.

What makes you keep them separate?

What kind of firewall do you have? (Not on the VM, though something similar might work there also)

I use OPNSense and have an allow rule for the specific IP and port my VPN uses from that VM's IP. Then a block everything from the VM IP after the allow.

I can connect to the VPN no problem, updates and everything work through the VPN. When it goes down it trys to connect normally and fails.

DNS can be a problem when trying to connect to the VPN so make sure to use the IP

Let's see if this works.

I have friends who rent who would "love to vote NDP but they're never going to win so they vote Liberal as to not throw away their vote". Fuck. The system is broken if people need to vote like this.

Yeah. My first request was to add a couple GB to my nextcloud and get a couple aliases. Then I wanted to move my mail to them and nothing. I followed up a couple times.

How is mailbox bothering you? I have the cheapest that allows a custom domain and I've never seen anything about moving to a different plan.

Disroot support never responded to my request, even though I supported them monthly so I looked elsewhere. No complaints with mailbox.org

If you're ever in this situation, look up constructive dismissal. Basically its better to stay home and be "fired" and refuse the voluntarily resignation. That being said, the USA has a lot less protections for employees then Canada or Europe but it's good to be informed anyway.
